“I am going on a sort of trials with an English club,” Balogun announced in a radio interview.
The 26-year-old Balogun made a short-lived debut for Nigeria against Mexico in March and suffered a foot injury which sidelined him for several months.
The tall defender, whose father is Nigerian and mother German, has also featured for Hannover 96 and Werder Bremen.
