Nokia’s Here Maps is Launching on Android Devices

When Microsoft purchased Nokia it didn’t actually purchase all of it, and ones of the teams left behind were the team responsible for Nokia’s impressive Here Maps.
Popular for it’s true offline & wide scale mapping functions Nokia have struck a deal with Samsung to bring it’s Here Maps App as a time limited exclusive to Samsung Galaxy Devices.

Here Maps coming soon to Galaxy Devices

Available initial in Beta format, Samsung Galaxy owners should expect to get their hands on Here Maps mapping goodness from October when the Samsung Gear S Smartwatch is released.
However all is not lost for owners of other Android devices, as Nokia have promised that Here Maps will have wider availability by the end of the year.
