Rig Ondo & see the dogs of war by Femi Fani-Kayode

Prince Adedeji Soyebi who is the INEC National Commssioner for the south west is leading the team for the Ondo state governorship election today whilst Professor Kayode Soremilekun the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye is the Returning Officer.
This is a dangerous combination. Both men are anti-PDP and Soremilekun is the same individual that was appointed as the returning officer for the Edo state 2016 governorship election. Sadly we witnessed the havoc that he caused there. He shamelessly rigged the election for APC in Edo and he is under orders to do the same in Ondo state tomorrow.
We must stop him and those that sent him on this robbery operation. Ondo state is not Edo and if they rig the election there will be consequences. We must begin to learn from history. We must remember the fire and carnage that engulfed old Ondo state in 1983 after the ruling party of the day, the NPN, rigged the governership election.
We must draw the necessary lessons from that and never allow it to happen again. That single act of electoral robbery led to the death of many innocent souls and signaled the end of the second Republic because it resulted in a military coup d'etat a few months later.
The truth is that rigging in the south west, whether it be in the elections of 1964, 1983 or 1993, always results in massive violence and its consequences are always felt way beyond the shores and boundries of Yorubaland. It also always results in the total and complete destabilisation of the entire nation and a violent, unconstitutional and controversial change of government at the centre. Permit me to explain.
The rigging of the south western regional elections in 1964 and the violence that followed it was the primary justification and reason for the bloody and violent coup that took place on January 15th 1966. Many were killed that night. Again the rigging of the governorship election in 1983 and the violence that followed it was the primary reason and justification for the coup that took place a few months later in that same year and that ironically brought General Muhammdu Buhari (as he then was) to power.
Again many were killed that night. Finally the rigging (or the "annulment") of the June 12th 1993 presidential election, in which the free and fair election of Chief MKO Abiola, a leading son of the south west, as President of Nigeria was cancelled at the last minute caused a violent reaction in the south west (and indeed consternation all over the country) and resulted in the "stepping aside" of General Ibrahim Babangida as Head of State in 1994. Again many were killed that night.
We must avoid a repeat of any of these scenarios at all costs. We must not allow murder, arson and violence to hold sway or take root.
We must pray for and keep the peace. INEC should not allow itself to be used by a rappacious and desperate Federal Govermment to win the state "at all costs". They must not do anything that will provoke the wrath of the people of Ondo and they must ensure that the election is free and fair. That is the only way to guarantee and ensure peace.
Anything short of that will result in the murder of sleep, the invocation of the clouds of uncertainty and the release of the dogs of war. To the PDP in Ondo state I have just this to say: we are very proud of you, your state and your governor, Segun Mimiko.
You have fought against all odds and ensured that you were not robbed, murdered and buried by the enemies within and the cockroaches, vultures, traitors and usurpers that infiltrated your ranks and that sought to cripple, disable and destroy you.
The Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal have given you justice and God has brought you so far. Now is the time for you to shed all your fears and anxieties and exercise your faith in God and express your confidemce in your governor, your leaders and your candidate.
Do not be overwhelmed and do not be intimidated by the rantings, intentions and plans of the enemy because the Lord, who is always faithful to His own, is with you. He will never allow you to be put to shame. The whole nation is watching you and praying for you.
Go forth and do us all proud. Go out in your millions, vote for our candidate Eyitayo Jegede and make sure that you stand firm and guard your votes jealously. Do not be intimidated by the power of the Federal Government or the threats, taunts and insults of their numerous emissaries and agents because in the end we shall surely prevail.
Saturday the 26th November is your day of victory and vindication. Go forth, claim it, take it and show them that your God is mighty.

Lagos emerges best security, safety conscious State in Africa

As culled from LIB, The Lagos State Government has bagged an award as the best security and most safety conscious State in Africa. At the award ceremony held in Johannesburg, South Africa and put together by the Security Watch Africa (SWA), the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command also emerged as the best anti-crime police squad in West Africa, while the RRS Commander, ACP Olatunji Disu took home the award of the most outstanding police operational officer in West Africa.
The awards were presented to officials of the State Government at the 2016 lecture series of SWA organized in partnership with Security Institute for Governance and Leadership in Africa (SIGLA) and the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
While receiving the award for the State on behalf of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tunji Bello, thanked the organizers for recognizing Lagos State, saying that it was gratifying to note that the efforts of government on security were appreciated.
He said ever since emerging as Governor of Lagos State, Mr Ambode has made safety and security one of the focal objectives of his administration as he believes that there cannot be any development in the absence of security.
"I want to assure this gathering that Governor Ambode is very much committed to the security of lives and property of the people of the State and he is not tired of daily improving on the security situation in the State. The Governor believes that businesses cannot thrive in an environment devoid of safety and security, hence the massive efforts and initiatives geared toward security," Bello said.
On his part, RRS Commander, who took time to lecture the gathering on the duties of the RRS, said being a unit of the Lagos State Police Command, the Squad is responsible for robberies and emergencies like collapsed building and other related situations.
He said the RRS is usually the first responders in emergency situation, adding that the Unit was also blessed with highly dedicated officials who carry out 24-hour job on a daily basis.
Speaking on the awards to RRS and to him, Disu said: "We like to appreciate the awards given to us and this will surely go a long way in motivating our men back home to know that everything they do is appreciated because the belief of an average police man in Nigeria is that police job is a thankless job and nobody appreciates what they do, but the awards will also spur us to better serve the people," the RRS Commander said.

Open Heavens 23 November 2016: Wednesday daily devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Dealing with Ancestral Curses II

Topic: Dealing with Ancestral Curses II [Wednesday 23, November 2016]
Memorise: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; – Colossians 2:14
 Read: Colossians 2:14 (KJV)
 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Bible in One Year: Genesis 42-43, Psalms 107:10-22
MESSAGE:
Ancestral curses are said to be in operation when a terrible problem persistently runs through generations with a family. For example, an uncontrollable anger or promiscuity may be noticed in a teenager and on investigation; such is traced to the parents and grandparents.
Many people today live under bondage as a result of their forefathers’ sins. Exodus 34:7 says:
“….visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.”
However, the moment God comes into such lives, things change dramatically. When God is in control of your life, it will be evident through the tremendous peace that will calm your storms, but when the devil rules the life of an individual, there will be total confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33 says God has nothing to do with confusion. When the devil takes over the life of a man, everything will turn upside down. Instead of wearing clothes, he will walk about naked. Instead of wearing decent clothes, he will put on rags. The one who finds it uncomfortable to wear decent clothes capable of covering his or her nakedness surely has gone nuts.
In Luke 8:26-33, after Satan took control of the Gadarene man’s life, he left his bed for the graveyard. He abandoned decent clothes for rags. If one wears clothes that expose what should be covered, it is evident that such a fellow is losing his or her mind to the devil. This Gadarene demoniac began to inflict wounds on himself. He was crying out of pain yet couldn’t stop himself. When people engage in things that can destroy them, it means their heads are besieged. The warning that smoking is injurious to a man’s health is not enough to stop a smoker from indulging in the act because his head has been taken over by demons. Anyone who uses mind-bending substances such as Indian hemp, cocaine, alcohol, cigarette or powerful capsules is living in a spiritual graveyard. Besides, this man was violent, he could not be controlled. He rebelled against reason, he was wild. If you find it difficult to submit to authority or comply with simple rules, examine yourself. The state of the head is revealed by the conduct of the body. No matter how refined an individual is, if something is wrong with the head, it will show. What is the state of your head? Is it well with your head?
Prayer Point: Father, please completely destroy the power of ancestral curses in my life in Jesus’ name.

A Message to President Muhammadu Buhari and Former President Jonathan by Reno Omokri

Dear Presidents,
To know if anyone is loyal to you, withdraw the benefit they enjoy from you. If their loyalty fades, then they were loyal to your benefits and not to you. President Buhari should learn from former President Jonathan. Look at those aides, appointees and ambassadors who professed undying love for President Jonathan.

How many of them even remembered his birthday yesterday? Mr. President, do note that those you plot politics with, who are presently dancing around you and lying to you that Dr. Jonathan caused all your problems are at best opportunists and not friends. Don't expect the duty of a friend from an opportunist. Just wait till your first birthday after power to know your true friends. #RenosNuggets

Open Heavens 22 November 2016: Tuesday daily devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Dealing with Ancestral Curses I

Topic: Dealing with Ancestral Curses I [Tuesday 22, November 2016]
Memorise: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: – Galatians 3:13
Read: Colossians 2:14-18 (KJV)
 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
Bible in One Year: Genesis 40-41, Psalms 107:1-9
MESSAGE:
Many people are suffering from curses which they know nothing about because the cause of the curses took place a very long time ago in their lineage. As a matter of fact, if you think you haven’t inherited any lineage curse, you should remember that of Adam and Eve, from who we inherited pain, hunger, sickness and death. We must deal with these curses if we want to live a meaningful and fulfilled life. In our memory verse for today, we are assured of a way of dealing with ancestral curses. Curses, including the one we inherited from Adam and Eve, are being dealt with by the work of redemption wrought by Jesus Christ, our Lord. He was made a curse for us so that we can be delivered from the terrible consequences of sin and curses. Christ was to be made a sin and a curse; He felt the agony of this exercise and prayed asking if the deal could be amended:
“41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” - Luke 22:41-42
Jesus Christ went to the Cross with the age-long curses upon humanity. However, Jesus endured to the end and cried “It is finished”, that is, the price of the curse has been paid in full. Hence, the human race was liberated. This is the reality which Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ described in Colossians 2:14-15
“14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
Beloved, if you want to effectively deal with the ancestral curses in your life, there is only one way and Jesus is that Way. He is the Lamb of God that is worthy to liberate you from the Devil. The Bible says He is the only One that is qualified to open the seal of freedom (Revelation 5:1-14). Today, I advise you to surrender your life totally to Jesus Christ if you have not done so. He will make a public show of those demonic influences hovering over your life and you will be free and blessed.
Prayer Point: Father, I plead the blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb that was slain for my deliverance and I break my link with my demonic past in Jesus’ name.

Open Heavens 21 November 2016: Monday daily devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Miracle-Producing Obedience

Topic: Miracle-Producing Obedience [Monday 21, November 2016]
Memorise: His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. – John 2:5
Read: John 2:1-11 (KJV)
1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
Bible in One Year: Genesis 37:12-39:23, Psalms 106:32-48
MESSAGE:
Many people do not know the secret of daily miraculous living. They think it has to do with strange things or occultism. Little do they know that a life of obedience enhances the supernatural intervention that results in miraculous events. It is unfortunate that even some children of God are missing out this truth as well. In our Bible reading for today, we can see the confirmation of the title of today’s devotional reading. There was a marriage ceremony in Cana of Galilee and our Lord Jesus, His family and disciples were present. There came a need that only God could meet. The mother of Jesus Christ knew that the Representative of God was on ground to do what was humanly impossible. So, she approached the Miracle Worker but not without a seemingly negative reaction. It is interesting to note that despite our Lord’s reaction, His mother gave a profound instruction to the waiters. “…Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” (John 2:5). Afterwards, Jesus Christ instructed the servants to fill the empty water pots with water and asked them to go ahead and serve it as wine. I decree to someone using this devotional; whatever potential shame the enemies are planning concerning you, God will intervene with a miracle that will nullify it.
There are lessons we must quickly learn from this story; God always involves man in the process of miracle-working events. When man cooperates with God through obedience, he experiences the miraculous. Naaman said that his expectation was that the man of God will come out and touch him. Howbeit, he was disappointed; he was to be part of the process. He had to go and dip himself in the Jordan River seven times before he could experience the miracle he sought for. He almost missed it when he refused to comply with the instruction of the prophet of God.
Another lesson we must learn from this story is that whenever you are trusting God for a miracle, you must not only be ready to receive instruction from God, you must also be attentive to the details of the instruction. After you get the message right, you must then go ahead and carry out the instruction. The servants indeed fetched the water; they also served it as wine under the instruction of our Lord. One may think it is simple to do what the servants did. They took the risk of being accused of playing on the intelligence of the people that came to the ceremony. Beloved, perfect obedience will change your story, just be willing to do whatever God asks you to do.
Prayer Point: Father, give me the spirit that trembles at your Word and does whatever You want me to do.

Press Release: The road to the restoration of Nigeria in 2019 and the Search for Worthy Candidates. Wailing Wailers @NGRWailers.

Press Release: The road to the restoration of Nigeria in 2019 and the Search for Worthy Candidates. Wailing Wailers @NGRWailers.
There is no doubt that Nigerians are urgently and desperately craving for 2019 to come faster to present them the widely desired chance to change the present government of change led by President Muhammadu Buhari and some of the non performing APC and PDP controlled states across Nigeria.
The concerns raised by the people in 2015 that led to the ousting of the former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan which the media widely termed as clueless government can be traced to the make belief "Heavy Media Warfare" against the former President and may not have been based on genuine concerns from the Nigerian People.
Looking critically at the present situation of the country, you will realise that no one is sponsoring any media campaign of calumny against President Buhari, but, the staggering reality is slamming the people to their faces.
Before the last administration was chased away, the prices of groceries were relatively much more cheaper compared to the present state of things in the country. Then, a bag of rice was sold at about N8,000 and a liter of PMS was N87 but now under Buhari  presidency, a bag of rice is now sold on the average of N22,000 while PMS is sold at N145 in almost all the fuel stations across Nigeria and same goes for every other daily needs of the people (Hiked Prices).
Generally speaking, Nigerian people were very much better off with the last administration by far. This is due to the fact that they had a human face to the people's condition and they moved along with the outcry of the public which were yielding some positive results. But, now,  in this present Administration, Buhari does not even listen to his own cabinet members let alone Nigerians. The purchasing powers of the people have dropped by almost 87%.
As we can clearly notice, some individuals have started showing interest in the 2019 race leading to Aso Rock, especially from the collapsing All Progressive Congress (APC).
Names like the former Vice President Alhaji ATIKU Abubakar, Governor Nasir Elrufail of Kaduna has come up, it is not very clear whether the incumbent Buhari will resign earlier enough as we have demanded due to his ineptitude, but, one thing that is certain is that if he dares to say that he wants to contest in 2019, that will lead to a serious revolt because, apart from his bad and worse performance, he declared that his old age will limit his performance and we cannot undergo the same harrowing situation ever again, after 2019.
In the other camp of the disarrayed and unstable opposition PDP, names like Governor Ibrahim Dankwabo , Former Governor of Borno Senator Ali-Modu Sheriff, Former Governor of Jigawa, Sule Lamido, Former Governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu, former FCT minister under PDP government and others are popping up in the media as possible replacement for Buhari in 2019.
For us as a group concerned with the advancement, development and survival of Democracy in Nigeria and world over, in all the names listed above, to be fair, some of them does not deserve to be given any chance at all.
* Do we give a chance to someone who was alleged to be the sponsor of Boko Haram?
* Do we we give a chance to someone who has been accused severally of embezzling public funds?
* Do we give a chance to someone who seized peoples landed property in Abuja as the then Minister of FCT and re-allocate to his friends, family and mistresses?
* Do we give a chance to someone who raised false alarm of Snipers list in the run down to 2015 election?
* Do we give a chance to someone who deliberately demolished peoples homes in Kaduna and Abuja under the pretense of mega city restructure without any reallocation and/or compensation to the owners and which led to the untimely death of Nigerian citizens?

* Do we give a chance to someone who deliberately tried to set Muslims against the Christians, do we give a chance to someone who is supporting mass murder of innocent citizens in Kaduna?
We as a group believe that we must carefully scrutinize the personalities and characters of those that will dare to show interest in 2019 Presidency. Truth be told, we must be objective in choosing our leaders and not choose political dealers.
If we carefully analyze Nigeria since the advent of democracy from 1999, we will discover that the political class are solely responsible for selecting our leaders for the rest of Nigerians. This should not be and must not continue, because, it is a faulty system which must be abolished come 2019.
For instance, We Wailing Wailers have membership strength of over 20 million across Nigeria and still growing everyday, we must be able to objectively choose candidates by ourselves by scrutinizing and  interviewing them seriously via public debate engagements, thoroughly checking their backgrounds to ascertain if the candidates are fit and proper persons before Nigerians can accept them.
What is currently obtainable is a faulty system where a politician, irrespective of his/her vision or visionlessness will pay his way through a political party without any input from the large voting populace.
We must start the search of these noble and worthy Nigerians that should occupy the Nigeria presidency, state governorship posts from now hence forth .
The voting population should for once be able to choose for themselves who they want to govern them and this shall begin now in preparation for 2019.
We are certain that politicians will throw their monies away in 2019, because, we will not allow the race to be narrowed to a few bad candidates as obtainable in the past, we will on our own part ensure that all the candidates that will come up in 2019 are the best there is. We will not allow politicians to present to us their own candidates which had been the practice for too long and that has caused severe chaos in the system as a result of the failures of these candidates (stooges).
Nigerians must choose their leaders from the start to the end in 2019. We believe that any party platform that such candidates will run on will not matter in so far as they are popularly acceptable by majority of the voting bloc.
We have on our own part, commenced the building of a country wide structure that will cause the emergence of candidates that will change Nigeria for good.
We urge the media, good people of Nigeria and other CSOs to join hands and partner with us as we will embark on the search for the possible replacement candidates including vibrant youths, for the current government in Aso Rock.
