FA Cup Final: Chelsea VS Arsenal At Wembley Stadium

FA Cup final: Arsene Wenger one of the game's greats - Antonio Conte. Venue: Wembley Stadium Date: Saturday, 27 May Kick-off: 17:30. But he could end the season with a seventh FA Cup triumph - as many times as Liverpool have won the famous trophy. Conte believes Wenger will still be Arsenal's manager next season.BST Coverage: Watch live on BBC One, listen on BBC Radio 5 live and follow live text on the BBC Sport website

Arsene Wenger will be considered "one of the best managers in history" even if Arsenal lose the FA Cup final, says Chelsea boss Antonio Conte. Frenchman Wenger, 67, has been Gunners boss since 1996 and his current deal expires in the summer.

Wenger said his future will be decided at a board meeting after Saturday's FA Cup final against the Blues. "I know very well Arsene Wenger has done well in the FA Cup and won many trophies," said Conte.

"I don't think this will be the last game for Arsene, he deserves to be working for Arsenal," added the Italian, who is seeking the Double in his first season at Stamford Bridge after steering the Blues to the Premier League title.

"He has done a fantastic job. "Sometimes in England I think you undervalue the achievement of qualifying for the Champions League. Only this season they haven't qualified for the Champions League. "When you stay for a long time, for sure he is a good manager.

We must consider him to be one of the best managers in history." 'Chelsea want more' Chelsea have not won the FA Cup since 2012 when Roberto di Matteo was in charge when they beat Liverpool 2-1 at Wembley. Forward Eden Hazard is determined to lift the trophy for the first time since moving to Stamford Bridge in June 2012.

Our Daily Bread Devotional, May 27, 2017 - Dysfunctional

Topic: Dysfunctional [Saturday May 27, 2017]

Read: Romans 3:10–26, Bible in a Year: 2 Chronicles 1–3; John 10:1–23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

The word dysfunctional is often used to describe individuals, families, relationships, organizations, and even governments. While functional means it’s in proper working order, dysfunctional is the opposite—it’s broken, not working properly, unable to do what it was designed to do.

In his letter to the Romans, the apostle Paul begins by describing a spiritually dysfunctional humanity (1:18–32). We are all part of that rebellious company: “All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. . . . For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (3:12, 23).

The good news is that “all are justified freely by [God’s] grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus . . . to be received by faith” (vv. 24–25). When we invite Christ into our lives and accept God’s offer of forgiveness and new life, we are on the path to becoming the person He created us to be. We don’t immediately become perfect, but we no longer have to remain broken and dysfunctional.

Through the Holy Spirit we receive daily strength to honor God in what we say and do and to “put off [our] old self . . . to be made new in the attitude of [our] minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness” (Eph. 4:22–24).

Prayer: Lord, in our dysfunctional lives we turn to You for restoration and strength. Thank You for Your amazing grace and love!

Drawing close to Christ helps us to live as He designed us.

Insight:

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are the fruit the Spirit grows in our lives because we “belong to Christ Jesus” (Gal. 5:22–24). In what area can you ask the Spirit to help you grow?

Man U Wins Europa Cup

Manchester United on Wednesday night completed what will be termed a very successful season by defeating Ajax 2-0 to win the UEFA Europa League final, guaranteeing the Old Trafford club a plaLIBce in next season's UEFA Champions league tournament.

Two goals from Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mhikitaryan was all Jose Mourinho needed to win his third trophy (League Cup, Community shield, Europa league) of the season- a tactical win that showed Man U's experience over Ajax who had more of the possession and more passes.

Congrats to Man U.

Four Ways Sex Can Cause Sudden Death

Sudden Death: 4 Ways Sex Can Kill You

According to several studies conducted by leading doctors, medical and experts deaths during consensual sex account for approximately 0.6% of all sudden deaths.
Here are a few ways this can happen.

1. Cardiac Arrest
A study conducted by a leading American medical journal has revealed that each additional hour of sexual activity per week resulted in an increased risk of 2-3 myocardial infarctions (heart attacks) and one sudden cardiac death per 10,000 person.

2. Haemorrhage
Experts say that indulging in sexual intercourse can trigger a subarachnoid haemorrhage i.e. is bleeding into the subarachnoid space—the area between the arachnoid membrane and the pia mater surrounding the brain via the Valsalva maneuver. The Valsalva maneuver is performed by moderately forceful attempted exhalation against a closed airway, usually done by closing one's mouth, pinching one's nose shut while pressing out as if blowing up a balloon.

3. Infidelity
A study also found that the "deceased is usually married; he is not with a spouse and in unfamiliar surroundings," and death usually occurs after "a big meal with alcohol." So, men who were unfaithful were significantly more likely than those who were faithful to experience severe or fatal cardiac events during sex. A related study seemed to support the death during extramarital sex theory. Fourteen of the 20 cases of coital death, happened during an affair. "Dying in the saddle" is another popular euphemism for death during sex.

4. Sex Drugs
Viagra use has been linked to sudden cardiovascular death during sexual activity among elderly or otherwise infirm men. Researchers also say that prescription or recreational drugs, such as cocaine can also possibly contribute to unexpected deaths during consensual sex.

UK raises Terror Threat To Highest Level

As culled from LIB,
Shortly after UK police identified 22-year-old Salman Abedi as the suspected suicide bomber who detonated bombs on Monday evening at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester which killed 22 people, Prime Minister Theresa May announced that the UK has raised its threat level to "critical".
This is the highest level for the first time in a decade. The last occasions were in August 2006 and June 2007. Both times, the assessment was lowered after a few days.

Raising the threat level to a critical level suggests that intelligence services believe another attack is "imminent."
According to Theresa May, the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre - the independent body which sets the threat level - had recommended it be raised after the Manchester bombing.  She said:
"It is now concluded on the basis of today's investigations that the threat level should be increased for the time being from severe to critical.  This means that their assessment is not only that an attack remains highly likely but that a further attack may be imminent."

Our Daily Bread Devotional, May 24, 2017 - Lookalikes

Topic: Lookalikes [Wednesday May 24, 2017]

Read: 2 Corinthians 3:17–4:2, Bible in a Year: 1 Chronicles 22–24; John 8:28–59

We all . . . are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18

They say we all have one: Doppelgangers some call them. Lookalikes. People unrelated to us who look very much like us.

Mine happens to be a star in the music field. When I attended one of his concerts, I got a lot of double takes from fellow fans during intermission. But alas, I am no James Taylor when it comes to singing and strumming a guitar. We just happen to look alike.

Who do you look like? As you ponder that question, reflect on 2 Corinthians 3:18, where Paul tells us that we “are being transformed into [the Lord’s] image.” As we seek to honor Jesus with our lives, one of our goals is to take on His image. Of course, this doesn’t mean we have to grow a beard and wear sandals—it means that the Holy Spirit helps us demonstrate Christlike characteristics in how we live. For example, in attitude (humility), in character (loving), and in compassion (coming alongside the down and out), we are to look like Jesus and imitate Him.

As we “contemplate the Lord’s glory,” by fixing our eyes on Jesus, we can grow more and more like Him. What an amazing thing it would be if people could observe us and say, “I see Jesus in you”!

Prayer: Lord, help us to gaze on You, to study You, to know You. Transform us into Your image by what we say, how we love others, and how we worship You. May others see Jesus in us.

Love is the family resemblance the world should see in followers of Christ.

Insight:

After having communed with God for some eighty days and nights (Ex. 24:18; 34:28), Moses’s face shone, reflecting and radiating the holiness and glory of God (34:29–35). When he came down from Mt. Sinai with the law, the people were afraid to come near him. Thereafter, Moses wore a veil over his face, seemingly to protect the Israelites from prolonged exposure to God’s glorious holiness.

Thousands of years later, the apostle Paul adds that Moses veiled himself to prevent the Israelites from seeing that this glory was fading away (2 Cor. 3:13). Using Moses’s experience, Paul reminds us of the great privilege Christians have today. Just as Moses was able to enter God’s holy presence without the veil (Ex. 34:34–35), anyone who believes in Jesus also has this privilege (2 Cor. 3:14, 16). The Holy Spirit gives us unencumbered and unrestricted access into God’s holy presence (v. 17) and will enable us to “see and reflect the glory of the Lord, [making] us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image” (v. 18 nlt).

In what ways are you like your heavenly Father? How is exposure to God’s holiness through His Word changing you to look more like Christ?

5 Surprising Foods That Help You Sleep Better

If you’re having trouble getting to bed or staying asleep, Jumia Travel helps you out by sharing 5 surprising foods that can help you sleep better.

Cereal

When this is eaten before bed, it can help you get better sleep. This is mainly because this food contains two main components for falling asleep: carbohydrates (from the cereal) and calcium (from the milk).

Rice

White rice especially, has a high glycemic index that makes eating it significantly slash the time it takes for you to fall asleep, which helps you fall asleep faster. This is why some people complain that after eating rice, they can’t help feeling sleepy or immediately falling asleep.

Honey

The natural sugar in honey slightly raises the insulin and allows tryptophan (an amino acid that helps induce a natural calming and sleep inducing effect) to enter the brain more easily. A spoonful of honey before bed can help to give you a more restful sleep.

Walnuts

Walnuts are another good source of tryptophan, the sleep-enhancing amino- acid that helps to make serotonin and melatonin, the ‘body clock’ hormone that sets up your sleep-wake cycles. In addition, walnut also contains its own source of melatonin, which in conjunction with the function of tryptophan can help you fall asleep faster.

Warm Milk

This tried and true sleep aid also contains tryptophan and is high in calcium; this contributes to its relaxing effect and ability to help you fall asleep faster. Combining milk with carbohydrate rich foods like oatmeal, granola etc. makes its much more effective as a sleeping aid.

Sex Scandal Rock Ogun State College Of Health Technology, Ilese

There is a sex scandal currently rocking the Ogun State College of Health Technology in Ilese Ijebu involving a lecturer of the school, Dr Oluseyi Adu and a Dental student of the school identified as Mosunmola.

Acording to reports, Dr Oluseyi who is the Oral Health Coordinator for the college, had sexual relations with Mosunmola in August last year.  Nine months after, Mosunmola is heavy with a child she claims is his.

The lecturer has owned up to having sex with Mosunmola but said that he used a condom when they had sex.

According to Mosunmola, Dr Oluseyi had been lecturing her since her 100 level but she did not fail his course until when she was in 300 level. She went to his office to inquire how she failed his course and he allegedly told her that she cannot just come into the school like that without him having sexual relations with her.

According to Mosunmola, Dr Oluseyi allegedly told her that he had interest in her while she was in 100 level but he backed out because a fellow lecturer had signified interest in her. She said the other lecturer had told her back then that she will either pay him money to pass his exams or give in to his sexual advances. Mosunmola says it was important for her to pass the course Dr Oluseyi failed her in because it would stop her from writing her board exams. She gave into his request and agreed to date him.

Oluseyi helped her get a waiver for the course from the department and then asked her to come over to a hotel where she would spend the night with him. At the hotel, she met another lecturer with another female student. Mosunmola says they had three rounds of sex while at the hotel. She stated that Oluseyi used condoms during two rounds but the last round was without any condom.

According to LIB,Mosunmola noticed she was pregnant few weeks after and told the Lecturer who gave her a drug, Eprostol, to abort the pregnancy. Mosunmola said she refused to take the drug and that one time when he came by her house to persuade her to abort the pregnancy, they finished their discussion and had sex in her house.

Dr Oluseyi started withdrawing from her and would not take her calls. She informed the HOD, Dean and other staff who tried to persuade him to take responsiblity for the child and cater for her but he refused to take responsibility. She then approached the Human Rights Office of the Ogun state Ministry of Justice who mediated and was able to get Oluseyi to pay her N5,000 monthly stipend and N7000 for antenatal registration. He however stopped paying after two months.

Dr Oluseyi has however denied Mosunmola's claim. According to him, it was Mosunmola who seduced him and lured him into having sexual relations with her. He said he has informed his wife and that at this point, nothing can make him ashamed again as his reputation has already been smeared by the scandal.

Meanwhile Mosunmola is expected to give birth anytime soon. Oluseyi says he awaits the birth of the child so that the paternity of the child can be determined via a DNA test.

Kenneth Copeland’s daily devotional May 21, 2017 - Possess Your Promised Land

Kenneth Copeland’s daily devotional May 21, 2017 - Possess Your Promised Land

Topic: Possess Your Promised Land [Sunday May 21, 2017]

When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan; then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you...and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it. Numbers 33:51-53

God has given you a promised land. It’s a place flowing with milk and honey, where your every need can be met. A place where you can keep sin underfoot as you rule and reign with Christ. A place where no weapon formed against you will prosper. A place where you are seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above principalities and powers—far from oppression.

As you study the Word of God, you’ll find that’s an accurate description of the kind of victory you should be experiencing in Christ—not in the sweet by-and-by—but right here, right now.

You may say, “Yes, that sounds nice in theory, but I’m dealing with reality here. The rent is due, and all I see is sickness, oppression and fear. This doesn’t look like much of a promised land to me.”

That’s because you’re still letting the devil live there! He’s not going to just pack up and go home, you know, just because God has promised you victory. You have to kick him out.

But don’t let that scare you. God has given you the power to do it. Remember what Jesus said? He said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19).

What’s more, the devil is totally unarmed! Colossians 2:15 says, “[God] disarmed the principalities and powers ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in...[the cross]” (The Amplified Bible). You have absolutely no reason to cower before the devil. Jesus defeated and disarmed him through His death, burial and resurrection. The devil can’t defeat you unless you let him. All he can do is make empty threats.

But beware! Empty threats can stop you cold if you believe them. So don’t. Believe the Word of God instead. Use the Word and the Name of Jesus to drive the devil out of every last detail of your life.

Don’t let him dwell in your territory. Force him to pack up and go home. Start possessing your promised land!
