Shocking story about Thelma Mupatsi is a 19 year old accounting student of Chinhoyi
University of Technology (CUT) Zimbabwe, who got pregnant because she couldn’t
protect herself, she recently gave birth to her baby and allegedly
killed her newly-born baby and hid the foetus in a suitcase.
She was caught but was not asked to plead to the infanticide charge when she appeared before Chinhoyi magistrate Singadu Jele.
Thelma is a first year accounting student, and has been was remanded on free bail after she told the court that she could not raise any bail money.
The baby was delivered on October 30th inside her campus hostel and drowned the baby in a bucket of water before hiding the body in her suitcase.

The issue came to light when her roommate, one of the five State witnesses, who was aware that Mupatsi was pregnant discovered some blood traces near the suitcase.
