More misery for Wenger: Arsenal beaten 2-1 by Swansea

Swansea came from behind to beat Arsenal 2-1 and secure all three points in their game at the Liberty stadium.
In a week that Arsenal blew a 3-0 lead in the Champions League on Wednesday, there was to be no respite as they yet again lost a game from a winning position.
The race for top four is hotting up in the English Premier League and Arsenal look off the paces at the moment to achieve that.
Wilfried Bony had a penalty appeal turned down, after Calum Chambers clattered in on him in the box.
Arsenal got into their rhythm towards the end of the first half, with Danny Welbeck having the best chance of the half, failing to beat Lukas Fabianski from the great opportunity he got.

Aaron Ramsey's volley went inches wide just before the end of the first half, and Arsenal were motoring.

And when the rains started pouring down in torrents in South Wales, watering the pitch and somehow impeded the passage of the ball, it was as if that was what the game needed to produce goals.

Swansea were caught in possession, after Bony gave away a misplaced pass that the Gunners countered with.

Welbeck did a great job down the right wing, going past Neil Taylor and squaring a pass to an unmarked Alexis Sanchez who had no problems guiding the ball into the net.

But it looked as though that was the tonic that Swansea needed to get back in the game.

Particularly impressive was Jeffersson Montero who ran Chambers ragged all game, running down the left channel and swinging in crosses.

Monk's substitutions paid off, which totally changed the hallmark of the Welsh team on the night.

Swansea needed something special to get back in the game, and they got what they wanted through Gyfli Sigurðsson, whose splendid free-kick sailed in for the equaliser.

And not long after Swansea found the winning goal, Montero with a well delivered cross found Bafetomi Gomis who headed the home side in front.

It was another defeat that stared Arsenal in the face and there was nothing they could do to salvage the situation.

The loss saw Swansea leapfrog Arsenal on the table, leaving the Gunners 12 points off Chelsea.

With Manchester United coming to the Emirates for Arsenal's next fixture, it doesn't look any easy for Arsene Wenger's team.
