The outcome of matches played on Friday in group C leaves all four teams with a fighting chance of progressing to the next stage of the 2015 African Nations Cup tournament in Equatorial Guinea.
Billed as the group of death prior to the start of the tournament, the results and positions on the log have so far justified that tag.
In the first game of the day, Ghana gave themselves a chance of going through to the last eight with their 1-0 victory over tournament's favourites, Algeria.

On his comeback from an injury, Black Stars inspirational skipper, Asamaoh Gyan scored the solitary goal that secured all three points for Avram Grant's team.
The game looked like it was headed for a draw as both teams did well to contain themselves and limit each other scoring opportunities.
Having missed his team's first game against Senegal, Ghana would be delighted to have had Gyan back as he made all the difference heading in the vital goal in the 92nd minute.
Gyan with his goal matched Osei Kofi as Ghana's all-time record goals at the Nations Cup tournament with seven goals.
He has now also scored for Ghana in each of the 10 major tournaments he's played in since the Nations Cup tournament in 2008.
Meanwhile in the other game of the group, both South Africa and Senegal had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Coming into the game needing a victory, the Bafana Bafana attacked the Senegalese with all intents hoping for a win.
For the second successive game in this competition South Africa went in front through a 46th minute strike from Oupa Manyisa.
But Senegal have somehow mastered how to come back in games that they are chasing, doing just that in their game against South Africa.
Kara Mbodj leveled for the Terranga Lions in the 59th minute, which earned them a draw.
Senegal top the group with four points, with Algeria and Ghana both occupying second and third positions respectively on three points each. South Africa are last in the group with just a point.
The last group game will now determine which two teams will progress to the quarter-finals.
