MESSAGE:

God is both the God of love and a consuming fire (1 John 4:8, Hebrews 12:29). He is extreme in His love for mankind, and He can also be extreme in His judgment. This is why you must never take Him for granted. All over the world, there is a resurgence in the doctrine of eternal security. This doctrine says that once you are saved, no matter what you do, your salvation is forever intact. This is one of the deceptive pills that the devil uses to drown souls forever in Hell in these last days. You shall not fall victim to this in Jesus’ Name! Today, many people are not taking the totality of God’s word into consideration while interpreting scriptures that talk about God’s grace. Such people believe that grace is devoid of responsibility.Ephesians 2:8 says we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and I am in total agreement with this. Also 1 Corinthians 15:10 says that whatever we are and whatever we become is by the grace of God, and I also totally agree with this. But beyond these, some people further believe that works are not necessary any more or else it won’t be grace. This is a lie!Philippians 2:12 says after being saved by grace, you must work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Did 2 Timothy 2:22 not command us to flee from youthful lust? In fact, 1 Corinthians 3:17 says,

“If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”

In other words, after being saved, you become a holy temple for God to dwell in. If you then go back to sin, God will bring His judgment on you. This too was written by the apostle of grace.

Beloved, never play with sin! Don’t joke with backsliding! Wounds can heal but the scars would remain as a reminder. The scarred flesh is never like the original. A scar is a dent on the body. It disfigures and distorts the fine form and beauty of the body. If you have a scar somewhere on your body and somebody looks at you there, the scar will be the very first thing they will see. When the prodigal son returned home, he was well received, and a feast was held in his honour, but he had lost his inheritance! He returned as a disenchanted son. After David sinned with Bathsheba and killed her husband, he later realized his evil, confessed it and was forgiven and restored to full fellowship with God; yet, the sword never departed from his house ever since! You can avoid scars! Live right before God and obey Him in all you do, and He will guide you to avoid the pits the devil has dug to orchestrate your fall.

Key Point: Foolish people bring avoidable and unnecessary sufferings on themselves. Father, please give me a wise heart to avoid pitfalls.

OYEMEKUN FESTIVAL HOLDS THIS WEEK


The Deji of Akure Kingdom Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II will on Saturday 11th November, 2017 install the immediate past Commandant of the National Defence College Abuja, Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade as the Balogun of Akure Kingdom.


The installation which is part of the activities scheduled for the Oyemekun festival 2017 will hold at the Ojukoto’s court of the Deji’s Palace at 10:00am


Details of the other activities of the Oyemekun festival 2017 includes;
Prayer service at Akure City Hall on Wednesday 8th, 2017 at Akure City Hall by 10:00am

Public Lecture to be delivered by Prof. Kole Omotoso on 8th November, 2017 at Akure City Hall by 2:00pm

Cultural Day will hold at the Ua Lila’s court of the Deji’s Palace on Thursday 9th November, 2017.

Jumat service at the Akure central Mosque by 1:00pm and a football match later by 3:00pm at the Akure Sports stadium on Friday 10th November, 2017

Akure carnival Day will hold on Saturday 11th November, 2017 by 11:00am at the MKO Abiola Democracy Park, Akure.


The festival will rounded off with a thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Redemption Court, opposite Akure South Local Government Headquarters, Akure by 10:00am.

The Saturday event will be chaired by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II while the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III CFR will be the Royal father of the Day.

God allows you to go through tests before giving a prize. Unfortunately, some people do well for a while, but when it comes to the crucial tests of life, they fail. May you never fail in the tests of life in Jesus’ Name! One lesson that is evident in today’s Bible reading is that to get to your higher glory, you may meet with discouragers, mockers, and dream killers. Even the Lord Jesus Christ faced mockers in His own family. Most members of His family did not even believe in Him until after His resurrection (John 7:5, Acts 1:14). In John 7:4, they scoffed at Him saying:

“For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.”

Some people will not want you to dare that great height because they have tried it several times and failed. They cannot stand you achieving what they could not achieve. Some others will mock you just to discourage you and weaken your faith. Beloved, a lot of the distractions you will encounter from people on your way to the higher glory God has for you will be borne out of envy. Just look at what Elisha went through with the sons of the prophets on his way to his promotion. Regardless of their motives, every ministry of discouragers and mockers organized against the fulfillment of your destiny shall fail and be completely frustrated this season!

Moreover, it is glaring that there is so much work to be done for you to enter your higher glory. In other words, higher glory is not meant for everyone. It is especially not for the idle or lazy folks. It is not for procrastinators. Higher glory is not for wishful thinkers. It is for those who are diligent. It is for those who work extra hard, those who can burn the midnight oil. It is for those who can make sacrifices and be focused on the set goal until it is realized. Are you prepared for this? I pray that you will be successful in all the assignments you need to perform in order to enter your greater glory in Jesus’ Name! It is not just enough to work hard: you must also be ready and be able to take up more or higher responsibilities. Some people limit themselves in this area. Are you capable of handling higher assignments? If you are wise, while you are on a particular level, you can open yourself to learn more things – particularly those things above your current level. You must be teachable. Are you willing to learn?

Key Point: Learning should be continuous. After graduating from formal school, you should enrol yourself in the school of self-development.

Lekan Fatodu writes on tithing in church

Nigerian journalist, Lekan Fatodu who writes from the UK has weighed in on the controversial topic of 'tithing' that's been made popular by OAP, Freeze. According to him, 'no matter how long you cry against tithing these people will not stop paying tithes'.

I don't get this. Those who are not paying and will never pay tithes are those very agitated and bitter that those who have chosen to pay and will continue to pay tithes based on their personal choice, conviction and beliefs are exercising that free will.

Listen, contrary to that warped assumption and conclusion, the poor are not the biggest tithe payers in churches in Nigeria. Get this, the richest churches in Nigeria are not made of poor congregation and are not also domiciled in poor neighbourhoods.

In fact most of the worshippers in the mega and financially-formidable churches in Nigeria are amongst the most successful, educated, gifted and influential amongst us. Go and check again. So they are not the poor. And these people, according to their regular testimonies, have seen the biblical concept of increase and multiplication which is said to be parts of the gains of tithe-payment work tremendously in their finances, businesses, services and other significant endeavours.

So no matter how long you cry against tithing these people will not stop paying tithes.

I wonder how your ranting would suddenly change or move against a scriptural principle which a massive number of educated, enlightened and mature people have professed to have been tested, proven and adopted as the source of their continuing prosperity and well-being. Never! Or do you think your cry against tithing will stop an oil mogul from dropping his tithe at the City of David in Oniru or an accomplished banker from giving his at Olive Tree in Banana Island?

You've not succeeded in dissuading the masses from accepting "stomach infrastructure" in exchange for their choice of candidates at elections which will bring about an all-inclusive infrastructural development, yet you are busy crying over the convictions of an enlightened group on tithing. Even the poor who pay in some churches believe the increase in their petty trades is as a result of their voluntary compliance to the tithe payment. You can see you've got a more spirited campaign to launch against tithe payment and may God help you.

That said, if the ostentatious lifestyles of many of the pastors of these mega churches are a major concern for you with their little impact on the lives of the poor in the society, that’s fair enough. In that case, leading a strategic campaign on the role of faith leaders in eradication of poverty and national development would surely be well appreciated.

And by extension, conducting a rigorous research on the big donors and tithe-payers in churches against their tax payments to government will help to expose the insensitivity, hypocrisy and impropriety of some of the rich.

Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun just stated that over 800,000 companies have never paid tax in Nigeria. But don't be surprised to discover that some of the owners of these companies are amongst the huge tithe-payers in many of these mega churches.

So reset your thought.

Bobrisky speaks on his arrest

Bobrisky has spoken out for the first time since he was arrested in Lekki, Lagos on November 7th, 2017.

Speaking to LIB exclusively, Bobrisky revealed that serial entrepreneur Toyin Lawani was the one who called for his arrest stating that she accused him of stealing his customers.

He revealed that the case was reported in Abuja and that he is currently on his way to Abuja to resolve the issue. He said;

Toyin Lawani asked her lawyer to write petitions against me that I worked for her and I'm selling cream to all her customers. Which was a fat lie. I never worked for Toyin. She was my friend. I can't remember ever working for Toyin or learning how to make cream from her.

Then she also said I threatened her. So we are going to Abuja cos that was where the case was reported. Before she wrote petitions against me, she had already threatened me that she is giving me 7 days to go to the internet and apologize to her which I said no way because she offended me. I think because I refused to apologize, she got the police involved

Speaking about what transpired at the police station yesterday, Bobrisky said his phones were taken from him and he was told that he needed to wait until morning in order to go to Abuja.

Yesterday at the police station, I was sitting at the counter and I was told I needed to wait until morning to go to Abuja.  My phone was taken from me so I couldn't talk to anyone. I'm trying to get in touch with my lawyer and all the people I know.

10 Types Of Guys That Always Have Ladies Lurking Around Them For Relationship

Nigerian comic writer, Professor Tosyne2much has come again drawing the attention of people to the types of guys that normally have ladies lurking around them.

While some guys often complain about their village people being responsible for making them unattractive to ladies, it's a different story entirely for other guys as they seem to be natural magnets for the ladies

Guys who are battling with nothing but inferiority complex will think that ladies are only attracted to money and nothing else; but the truth of the matter is that some ladies are actually attracted to guys that are altruistic and good looking, because, to them, handsome guys are public property that they want to flaunt to their friends and neighbours just to keep them wondering what's so amazing about them that they managed to land a guy whose looks is so superior to theirs. Handsome guys who are very smart use their handsomeness to their own advantage that leaves many ladies lurking around them for dating. 4. Liars/Untrustworthy Guys 

In all the many years I have lived on this earth as a Commissioner for Women Affairs, I have come to learn that most (if not all) ladies like to be sweet-talked, flattered and showered with praises, and that's why they can't explain how they find themselves in the hands of deceitful and manipulative liars. However, ladies consciously or unconsciously find themselves falling in love with guys who have mastered the art of manipulating the truth since they are being told what they want to hear. Many with agree with Tosyne2much that guy who have sugar-coated mouths know the weak point of ladies and that's why ladies are susceptible to fall for their scam, unlike the honest and trustworthy guys who ladies not really give attention to

5. The Braggers/Noise Makers 

If you want to date girls easier, just blow them by your money, luxury gifts and sweet compliments and watch how such expressions of vanity will make them chase you the way a sex starved rooster chases a hen. Guys who brag about what they can't even achieve in ten years normally have the attention of ladies more than the guys who are taciturn about their wealth and accomplishments. The more reason why someone like Airforce1 will surely have the attention of ladies than any other guy here  .

6. Yahoo Boys/ Muusicians 

As we all know, the lifestyle of an average Yahoo boy/musician is filled with lies, deceit, fakery and many more. They all live flamboyant lifestyle that attracts ladies just as sugar easily attract ants, and you know nothing wheels an average lady's thinking faculty faster when she's being assured of comfort and luxury. That is the main reason why many ladies want to be addressed as Hushpuppy's girlfriend.

7. White-Collar Professionals 

White-collar workers, such as accountants, bankers, doctors, pilots, attorneys and real estate agents have some kinds of personalities the society has ordained them worthy of a certain type of respect that most ladies buy into. A lot of ladies get blinded by the prestige associated with the profession that they go to the extent of forcing themselves on these men just because of the respect they will earn from their family members and neighbours for bring such a personality home as a potential husband

8. Intelligent/Brilliant Guys (Bookworms) 

Ladies like to be in company of guys who are intelligent and know the world inside out. Of course, not that intellectual who just boasts around of his knowledge but someone who is also doing well in his academics. A academically sound guy automatically becomes attractive in the eyes of ladies (especially the ones who are academically bankrupt), and they always want to spend more time with him doing tutorials, assignments and all that. Most brilliant guys are usually very dull and can't decode ordinary green light, only the smart ones try to organize tutorials for these ladies in their bedrooms and will end up torturing them on the bed.

9. Guys with promising future 

Some ladies are so filled spiritually more than T. B Joshua that they can easily predict a guy's future by mere looking at him. They already know if the guy is going to hammer soon or will remain poor for the rest of his life. Even though the thought of dating a broke guy irks many ladies, some people of them still get attracted to guys that have propensity for greatness, therefore, they know that if they can stick long enough with him, they may find a life of luxury and indulgence awaiting down the line.

10. Fake Pastors 

These days, the way some pastors use the name of God to commit atrocities is so alarming. They follow anything on skirt using duress to corner gullible female members into their bedroom. In fact, some womanize a lot that their joysticks can easily be recognized by most female members of the choir.

He meant every word of it. When the widow was told to go and first prepare food for Elijah, she looked at him and said, “I will do it. Not for you, but for your God and because of my love for Him” Can it be said that you truly love the Lord? The testimony of genuine love for God is a great testimony every believer in Christ should have. After all is said and done, may it be declared concerning you that you loved the Lord!

Beloved, do you know that the giving of first fruits is just a test of your love for God? By the grace of God, out of my love for God and to reach out to lost souls, I desired to convene a Holy Ghost Congress. The first Congress took place in 1977. l wanted to invite all students to come together for this purpose, but I could not afford to feed them all. I had no money, but I had a car, and without thinking much about it, I sold the car for that purpose. I did this with every sense of joy and satisfaction. At that time, some people thought I was mad, and really, I was madly in love with God.

When God says He loves those who love Him, He means it. When you demonstrate how much you love Him, He will reciprocate. Just recently, I announced to the congregation that I no longer had a need for cars, so nobody should give me a car as a gift anymore. When I got home that same day, four new cars were already waiting for me. I said I didn’t want any more cars, but God said I haven’t seen anything yet. I gave Him my first car and ever since, He keeps sending me cars. The widow gave God her last meal and God kept sending more meals to her. While everyone around her was either starving or dying due to famine, she and her household got more fattened. You may not believe this, but do you know that I gave the very first house I built in my life to the Lord? For me, it was indeed a pleasurable thing to do. I did not come into this world with a house. God built one for me and when He needed it, I gave it to Him out of love. I can tell you that He has been very faithful to me ever since. Are you are still holding back the lands, houses, money and other things that you could have given Him to demonstrate your love and provoke greater returns? Do you really love Him?

Action Point: Pray that God will cause your nation to make progress in every sector.

Men should be careful of a cheating wife

A man can cheat on his woman and still love her but a woman cannot cheat on her man and still love him. I say this because while men do not have sex with emotions, women can’t have sex without attaching emotions to it. This is the reason men simply need a place to have sex while women need a reason to have sex.
Most women who take their husbands to court for divorce are those that cheat on their men. A non cheating woman would most likely never take her husband to court for divorce, unless the man exceedingly abuses her physically and emotionally to the point of killing her.

Men don’t equate sex with love. A man can have sex with another woman but still doesn’t love her. That’s why women who fell in love with married men find it difficult to find happiness in those relationships as they are just being used by those married men. But once a married woman starts sleeping with you, she can even narrates some hidden secretes concerning her husband and she will even tell you why she hates him (her husband). She can even accept poison from you to eliminate her husband.

For men, sex and love are two different things. But for women, sex and love are one and the same things. For men, sex comes first before love (infatuation), but for women love comes first before sex (true love). Therefore, once your woman starts having sex with another man/men, her love shifts from you to that man and she can even start giving that man the best food and love than she gives you.

The fact that your man is cheating on you doesn’t mean he has stopped loving you. But I can’t say the same for women. Once a woman starts cheating on you, she has fallen for someone else and you people will never live the same again. And she can even kill her husband once she starts cheating on him.
If your wife starts cheating, you should be a lucky man not to die in less than 10 years. It has been found that 95% of women who cheat wish their husbands dead. That is the main reason why it is dangerous for a man to continue staying with a wife who cheats on him. That is why is now encouraged everywhere in the world including in the Bible, for a man to divorce his wife only once she starts cheating on him. Cheating women are more deadly to husbands than ordinarily criminals or weapons. There are many cheating women in the world who invite criminals to break into her house at night only to come and eliminate her man and police officers plus relatives can’t detect this as the same woman tend to moan more than any person at the funeral so as to attract sympathy and hide her evil acts.

That’s why psychologists discourage women,more than men, from cheating.

Women can’t handle the emotional conflict that comes with cheating.

That’s the reason an observant and intelligent man will notice that his wife has started cheating on him once he starts doing it because most women tend to lose respect to their husbands and try to avoid sex with them in most times.

Cheating Women will even be giving excuses for not wanting to have sex with their husbands. Study has revealed that nearly 90% of women who cheat find it hard to have enjoyable sex with their husbands, again an intelligent man will detect this once his wife’s behavior with regard to sex start changing. But a dull man can never detect this and always tolerate fake excuses from his cheating wife until he is completely eliminated.

Women can’t cheat on their partners with people they are not emotionally involved with. They attach emotions to everything. That’s why you can’t always trust their judgment. When a joke is cracked,most women who laugh are not laughing because the joke is funny but because they like the person who cracked the joke. If they don’t like you, no matter how funny your joke may be, they won’t laugh, but when a man laughs at a joke, it’s because the joke is funny, not because he likes the comedian. Men are not always sentimental and emotionally involved.

Study has shown that every relationship begins to flounder once a woman starts cheating. There are many men who cheat on their partners but still show them true love. But it is very hard to find a relationship in which a woman is cheating and things still remain the same.

I repeat, nearly 100% of cheating women wish their husbands quick death or divorce to have unlimited sex freedom while nearly 100% of cheating men can’t wish their wives quick death or divorce. That is why most men cant allow their wives to be physically or verbally abused by their girlfriends. Men will always stand for their wives.

A man would cheat but still love and respect his wife, but the opposite is true with cheating women.

Once your wife starts sleeping with other men/man, just know that your death is near.
