The Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Honourable Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonji-Iweala has arrived Chibok on his working visit to the town and Displaced people centres across Borno state.
Dr Iweala, according to Hope For Nigeria, met families of the abducted
school girls and women leaders in the community. She later laid the
foundation stone of the one of the schools being rebuilt by Goodluck
Jonathan's administration.

When good moment of great creativity is obvious, purposeful leadership is inevitable!
I
hope every Nigerian can see that these unending transformation by
Jonathan can never be erased. Whether anyone deliberately refuses to
acknowledge the transformation or is foolishly in self denial of the
communal benefits to the nation, there are evidences of the
transformation abounding all over the nation.For an instance, no one can deny that the establishment of 14 new Federal Universities around the nation (5 in the south and 9 in the north) is false. In like manner, it is physically established that he has turned our agriculture around to the fruitful. I personally acknowledge the many roads he has reconstructed, constructed or dualised. He has rehabilitated 25000 kilometers of our roads in five years out of the 35000 kilometers in the nation. That can not be unseen and neither can it be wished away from view.
On the part of power production, it is established that he met 2500
megawatts of electricity in the national grid. He went about building
new power stations and dams, reconstructing and refurbishing old ones
and has added 2000 megawatts of electricity to the national grid. There
is now the capacity to add several thousands more when all works are
completed in that sector. This is a simple fact that his detractors are
want to rubbish any which way possible. Ask our farmers now about
cassava production. It is now the largest in the world. Before Jonathan,
Nigeria had no rice processing mills. Now, we have 13.
Let everyone congratulate Nigeria and this administration and let no one bamboozle us away from the fact that, our food import bill has dropped from Naira 1.1 trillion to Naira 684.7 billion. If anyone wants to deny seeing our Trains moving on the recently refurbished or reconstructed railway lines, can't they hear them coming. They are very conspicuous and why some still say the President has not done anything baffles one.
I can go on and on but, I do not want to be boring. They are so many that, writing them out here is a job and so will be reading them.
Further, Jonathan has laid a record and a target for every President coming after him in 2019. They can only strive to beat his record because, to fail to beat or at least, meet the record will expose them as failures.

man to his death from a building after accusing him of being gay.

photographs show a large bloodthirsty crowd gathered at the foot of a
multi-storey building in the group's de facto capital Raqqa to watch the
murder of the young victim.
With
the baying crowd clambering on to rooftops to get a better view of the
savage scene, the blindfolded man is dragged to the roof of the tallest
building in the neighbourhood by bearded militants, who use mobile
phones to film him being barbarically thrown to his death.

$4.8M in gold bars stolen in armored truck heist on highway

The guards working for Transvalue Inc. of Miami
reported pulling off to the side of the interstate about 6:30 p.m.
Sunday after their vehicle began having mechanical problems in eastern
North Carolina, according to the Wilson County Sheriff's Office.
The robbers then helped themselves to barrels filled with about $4.8 million in gold before making their getaway. Transvalue said its employees were not injured during the heist.
Transvalue chief executive officer Jay Rodriguez said the truck carrying the gold bars left Miami about 4 a.m. Sunday. The load was headed to Attleboro, Massachusetts, a town south of Boston nicknamed "Jewelry City" for the large number of manufacturers based there.
"At this time we are working with the authorities to try and resolve this matter," Rodrigez said. "We are offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of these criminals."
Wilson County Sheriff Calvin Woodard Jr. declined interview requests Monday and did not respond to messages from The Associated Press seeking additional information, such as what weapons the robbers used or how they managed to get the armored truck open. No detailed description of the suspects or their vehicle was released.

field office, said agents are assisting the local sheriff and are
working to determine whether a federal crime has been committed.

Jonathan gives automatic employment, scholarship and grants to 164 ex-corps members
President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday announced Federal Government’s
automatic employment and scholarship for 164 former members of the
National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who had distinguished themselves
during service.
The automatic employment is bestowed on President’s NYSC Honours awardees who also will enjoy automatic scholarship to study up to Doctorate degree in any University of their choice across the world.

The 164 awardees were selected for their exceptional performances during their service year.
The President in his speech promised to continue to accord priority to youth empowerment programs.
According to the President, “ A nation that does not build the youth is building a nation for disaster” “ On our part, we will continue to accord priority to youth development through policies and programmes that will empower them not only for economic survival, but also for future leadership roles in our nation. The Federal Government will continue to initiate policies and programmes that are focussed on our youths”. The President appealed to other Corporate Organisations to emulate this laudable initiative as the expertise of these distinguished Nigerians should be utilised by both public and private sectors

Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, the party does not wish him any ill health, even
though it is seriously concerned about his mental state.
''No, we have never and will never wish anyone any ill health. However, we are seriously concerned that Mr. Fani-Kayode may have unhinged, perhaps as a result of a relapse into an unhealthy lifestyle of substance abuse,'' the party said in a statement issued in Dubai on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
''Our concern stems from the series of incoherent statements, outlandish claims and inconsistent behaviours exhibited by Mr. Fani-Kayode in recent times, which call into question his state of mental health.
''We wish Mr. Fani-Kayode well and call on him to tell Nigerians that he remains clean, despite the massive pressure of work, and that he will not do anything that will see him needing a prolonged reformation in a foreign land,'' it said.
