Fayemi Vs Fayose

Fayemi Vs Fayose: The court proceedings did not go ahead because of the drama that happened outside.. We gathered that the honourable Justice Adeyeye had approached His Excellency and was informal in addressing him by his first name saying "AYO CAN U CALL YOUR THUGS TO ORDER?" in which His Excellency replied that Sir they are not thugs but party faithfuls and also correcting his Lordship that he expected to be addressed as " Your Excellency" or better still Mr Fayose but the Judge declined and continued being saucy to Governor-elect Fayose .However in this era of social media,we need to see the photos of the assaulted judge but from another source,Fayose neither attack nor order anyone to attack the judge.Power is sweet and Dr Kayode Fayemi(a democrat?)will do anything possible to remain as Ekiti state Governor.‪#‎DemoCrazy101‬#

Dear LIB readers: My wife’s change of denomination is affecting our marriage

From a female LIB reader

My wife and I got married as Catholics and we have been practicing the Catholic faith in all our ten years of marriage. All the love and peace we have enjoyed in our marriage is about to change as she recently found love in the Jehovah’s witnesses doctrine where they do not celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas and other celebrations.  She now wants to force this new way of live on myself and our three children who have lived all there lives enjoying these celebrations. This new way of thinking is seriously affecting our marriage as she is trying to be forceful with our kids living according to her new found doctrine. It’s not like her new found faith is bad but I would just respect it if she leaves me and my kids out of it.  I seriously want to save my marriage but I don’t want her new belief to affect my children. How do I handle this situation?

Nollywood actor Saint Obi has been working as a media consultant and his latest portfolio is to get President Goodluck Jonathan re-elected.
According to a report by Daily Times NG, the former actor is currently planning “ingenious” strategies for the president’s re-election in 2015. He reportedly told the paper;

Borno sends 36 Chibok girls to International schools

THE Borno State government, on Wednesday, granted scholarship and relocated 36 schoolgirls, who escaped abduction in Government Secondary School, Chibok, in Borno State, when Boko Haram insurgents attacked the school and abducted over 200 girls on April 14. The 36 schoolgirls, who have been admitted into international schools in Abuja, Kaduna and Plateau states, were part of 57 female students, who either escaped abduction or ran from captivity after the attack. Fifty one of the girls were meant for admission after six secured a scholarship to study at an international school in Yola, Adamawa State. The state government is spending a minimum of N1.4 million annual fees on each of the schoolgirls in their new schools, besides other costs for welfare. Governor Kashim Shettima pleaded not to disclose the names of the schools, in order to shield them from public distraction and to safeguard the security of the girls and the new schools. The governor spoke at a brief farewell held for the girls at the Government House in Maiduguri, on Wednesday. Governor Shettima said he opted to spread the girls in different schools, so as not to make unnecessary visits that would continue to make them subject of public focus given the global attention on them. Shettima said the decision to relocate the schoolgirls was reached after psychosocial experts, psychologists, medical doctors, interfaith religious experts, women from civil society organisations and other trauma managers, who conducted trauma management sessions for the schoolgirls at the Government House in Maiduguri some months back and certified the girls set for continued education. The governor said while it was a hard decision to send the 36 girls back to school when their colleagues were still in captivity, the government had not given up on the girls still held, just as he said no sane parent would rule out a child in captivity. Shettima called on the schoolgirls to be of good behaviour, obey the rules of their new schools, put their bitter experience behind them and focus on their studies so as to achieve their dreams in life. The governor announced that any of the schoolgirls that obtains a minimum of five credits will be awarded automatic scholarship throughout her university education. Governor Shettima appealed to members of the media not to bring to the public the new schools the girls would be relocated to, even if the media get to find out through investigations. Borno State chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Reverend Titus Pona, who is an elder in Chibok community, was full of praises to Governor Shettima for fulfilling his pledge of relocating the freed schoolgirls to international schools.

Emma Watson Naked Photo Countdown Site Wants To #ShutDown4Chan

A threat to leak Emma Watson's nude photos online has tuned out to be a strike targeted at #fappening hackers. The threat was posted online just hours after the 24-year-old launched the HeForShe campaign in a speech at the UN on Sunday in which she appealed to men to speak out over gender equality.
The threat was through a website, EmmaYouAreNext.com, and gave two days to the release of the photos. Yesterday, however, the countdown was brought to an end much earlier and the site started to link through to the social media company called Rantic.com.
Instead of naked pictures of Emma Watson, a message on the firm's front page calls for anonymous online message board 4chan to be shut down.
Although a lot of Facebook commenters on the site were very unhappy after it was revealed as a viral marketing hoax, some people understood why they did it that way.

20 Quotes To Help You Practice Gratitude

It’s the little voice that creeps up quickly to ruin your day: “They’re so lucky, if only I had, I wish, I want, I need.” No human being is immune to comparison, jealousy, envy or desire. It’s there. It will always be there because we are built with this innate nature to grow, push, move forward and pursue. It’s what propels us. It’s what makes us come alive. It’s what drives our desire to be intentional and purposeful with our lives. But if not harnessed in a healthy manner, it can be the very thing that paralyzes us from living at all.
The greatest thing we could ever do in our pursuit of living is to embrace satisfaction with who we already are, to practice gratitude for what we already have, and to find a peaceful calm for our restless hearts amidst the ever-changing shuffle.
The pursuit of contentment is a daily practice. Without it, yesterday, today, and tomorrow, will forever slip away.
Here are 20 inspiring quotes from some of the world’s deepest thought leaders. How could we doubt their truth when these people all play/ed a part in creating this momentum we call life?

Cornell launches dual MMH-MBA degree with leading Chinese business school

Management in Hospitality (MMH) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program. The program will have its first intake of students in fall 2015.
Through the new program, students will learn from expert faculty from both schools, get hands-on experience in an international setting, and gain valuable cultural and business perspectives.
"China is the second-largest economy in the world, and its hospitality industry is poised for dramatic expansion. As the Chinese middle class grows, domestic hospitality companies are building new brands, and international brands are expanding into the country," said Michael D. Johnson, dean and E. M. Statler Professor at the School of Hotel Administration. "CEIBS is one of the top-ranked business schools both in this market and the world, making it a perfect counterpart for our first MMH-MBA dual degree."
Through this innovative dual-degree program, students can complete the AACSB-accredited MMH and MBA degrees over the course of two years, the MMH degree at Cornell and the MBA degree at CEIBS. Students will begin the program at either CEIBS or Cornell, spending their second year at the alternate campus.
"An understanding of the way business is done in China, within a global context, is now an invaluable asset—as it will be for years to come—and the country's service industry is becoming increasingly important," said Hellmut Schutte, CEIBS dean and Distinguished Professor of International Management. "CEIBS is pleased to be able to collaborate with Cornell in offering this opportunity of a dual degree that aligns two very important areas."

6 Habits Of Highly Successful People Before Bedtime

We’ve all heard the stories about the mega-successful who wake up early every day and conquer the world before most people put the coffee on. But what about the other time of day that plays an equally important role? What are successful people doing right before bed? Do you want to know the secret? They set themselves up to have an even more productive day tomorrow.
Here are six bedtime habits of highly successful people.

1. Read for an hour

Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates is an avid reader. Each night before bed, he spends an hour reading a book, ranging on topics from politics to current events.
Aside from the obvious benefits of gaining new knowledge, reading daily has also been shown to reduce stress and improve memory. A 2009 study from the University of Essex revealed that reading for as little as six minutes a day can reduce stress levels by up to 68%.
Another big benefit from cracking open a good book on a nightly basis is that it can improve the long term health of your brain. Every time you read, it’s like a mental workout for your mind. This study performed in Britain showed that people who stimulated their minds through activities like reading, reduced cognitive decline by an average of 32% as they got older in age.

Breath Test for TB Developed

Researchers have developed the first breath test for TB in the laboratory, the BBC says.

It provides rapid information on drug resistance that takes up to six weeks using standard methods, US scientists report in the journal, Nature Communications.

The bacteria emit a unique gas signature within 10 minutes of exposure to an inhaled antibiotic in rabbits.

TB infects 8.6m people each year worldwide and kills 1.3m, second only to HIV.

Early diagnosis and treatment are a priority in the global fight against TB, according to the World Health Organization.

T.B. Joshua’s alleged bribe: The truth – written by journalist Simon At

Simon Ateba is a reporter with PM News. Read his thought provoking piece below…
People have been asking me, “Simon , were you at that press conference on 14 September where Prophet T.B. Joshua allegedly gave N50,000 to journalists to write a positive story on the building collapse that killed many people?”, my answer is always the same.
I was not at that event, I do not know if he gave a bribe, I do not know if it was N50,000, and cannot comment on it. But I do not feel better or more righteous in any way than those who might have collected anything, if money was given.‎

Why Synagogue Building Could Not Stand ––Military Expert

Sent to OluFamous.Com by Betty Roger
When I sent the video of the collapsed Synagogue building to a friend of mine who is a military expert, he replied with this report.
Unexplained collapse of a newly built multi-story building at the Synagogue Church Of All Nations In Nigeria. Remarks based on the known data of the case:
Before the collapse of the building, it was recorded that at least four times, there was a crossing of a military airplane. It appears to be a Hercules C-130, which is a military aircraft, not civil.
What was a fighter plane doing midday over a residential area many times (at least 4 times that the camera shows) and, most especially, over the building that collapsed under strange circumstances?
The flight routes of these military aircrafts are scheduled by the appropriate military service and are recorded in the service radars. Therefore, it should be investigated:

CBN Orders Banks to Refund N17bn illegal Charges to Customers

The Central Bank of Nigeria has ordered banks to refund over N17bn illegally charged customers as of August 2014, according to the Head, Consumer Protection Department, CBN, Hajia Khadijah Kassim,.

Speaking on Monday in Calabar, Cross River State, she said the decision was in response to about 5,500 complaints received from bank customers.

“Once we receive a complaint; if it is a case of fraud, we move in immediately. As of August 2014; from 5,500 complaints, we have got the banks to refund over N17bn to customers.

“We are not allowing the banks to have a field day as far as treating customers fairly is concerned.”

Responding to a question on bank frauds at a press briefing to mark the commencement of the Financial Literacy and Consumer Awareness Campaign in Calabar, Kassim said as soon as the central bank received complaints of fraud, it usually wasted no time in addressing them.

“We ensure that banks treat their customers fairly,” she said according to PUNCH.

According to her, customers have a right to complain, and advised that they always pay attention to their bank statements.
