Politics! We'll Not Poison or Kill Jonathan to Win 2015 Elections -APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said the comment by Chief Edwin Clark, that if the opposition has its way it can poison or kill President Goodluck Jonathan just to take power, is absurd, incendiary and unbecoming of an elder statesman of the Chief's stature.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said Chief Clark's comment, which was widely reported by newspapers, is the latest in a string of statements by President Jonathan's supporters that are overheating the polity ahead of the 2015 general elections and are even threatening the peace and unity of the country.

PDP Hails President Jonathan For Graciously Accepting Insults

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has hailed President Goodluck Jonathan for graciously accepting the insults hurled at him from the opposition.

A Facebook post on the PDP's official Facebook read, "Nigeria has never had it so good!
Which President would have tolerated the level of insult the opposition( external and internal) hurl at him everyday? If they are not on TV and radio abusing him, they are at a public forum or in newspapers and magazines. When those ones no do, they even write letters. Now they don write book, yet no one is harassing no one. We are very grateful to God that finally, our dear country has got it right. We now know the difference between democracy and dictatorship. We have a President whose faith in democracy is jealously undiluted, who believes that democracy is nullity without fundamental freedom to the citizens. A 16-year-old Nigerian girl named Kiahmarah Nwagwu (pictured above) has been declared missing. According to London24, Kiamarah was last seen leaving her school, Hammersmith Academy on Wednesday December 3rd at about 1.30pm.
Kiahmarah is slim and between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins tall. At the time of her disappearance, she had shoulder-length Afro-style hair, and was last seen wearing a dark knee-length wax coat, but might have taken a change of clothes. Anyone who has seen Kiahmarah or who knows of her whereabouts is asked to call Hammersmith & Fulham police on 101 or the charity Missing People on 116 000.

PDP Primaries: David Mark, Dosunmu, Kashamu, Akpabio win

The PDP primaries which held in states of the federation on Sunday produced some surprises as a number of incumbents lost their bids to return to the National Assembly. Prominent among those who lost were a three-term senator and Chairman of the Committee on Education, Uche Chukwumerije and the Senate Majority Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba.
The Chairman, PDP Mobilisation and Organisation committee in South-West, Buruji Kashamu, however, won in the Ogun East Senatorial District. He defeated Mrs Temidayo Oriola and Daisi Akintan.
In Lagos, politicians in the camp of ex-Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, cleared the three Lagos senatorial districts during the PDP primaries. They beat the aspirants loyal to the leader of the party in the state, Chief Olabode George.

Teacher, Pupils flee as undergraduate buries 25 raw eggs in school premises

 

Teachers and pupils of LEA Primary School, Nabor, a village close to Angwa Rukuba, Jos, Plateau State, are now living in fear following the arrest of a university grad­uate, Sheriff Charles, who was alleged to have buried at least 25 raw eggs around the school premises.

Already, many pupils and even some teachers have deserted the school. The alleged culprit, Charles, who resides in the village with his parents and other siblings was said to have gone to the school after closing hours on Monday, No­vember 24, 2014 to bury the eggs between two blocks of classrooms. As he claimed, the intent was for him to receive favour from God and man.

As Sunday Sun learnt, Charles has remained unemployed long after completing the mandatory one year service, thus prompting his recourse to what has now been interpreted by people in the neigh­bourhood as diabolic self-help that expectedly sparked off apprehen­sion in the village. The head of the school, Mrs. Deborah Solomon, said the pupils are now scared to come to school.

See Detained Russian Plane In Kano Carrying Ammunition And Even A Helicopter: Photos

A Russian airplane which was heading to Chad but had to stop at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in the early hours of Saturday morning when it developed a technical problem has been intercepted by Nigerian authorities.

The pilot sought permission from airport authorities before landing due to its technical problem, but on arrival it was discovered the plane was carrying ammunitions such as AK47s, bullet proof vests and even a helicopter.

The Russian jet, labelled AH-124-100, has been described as a heavy military transport aircraft, which is one of the biggest serial and strategic heavy lifters in the world. However, the Russian Government through its embassy in Nigeria has denied any link with the jet. They made this known through the Russian Embassy’s twitter handle. Hennessy Reunites Plantashun Boiz On Stage (PHOTOS)

Each of them has gone solo in their music careers but Nigeria’s pioneer RnB group made up of 2face, Faze and Blackface came back together on stage yesterday, December 6, 2014 bringing back memories and nostalgia to those in attendance. Known back then as Plantashun Boiz, the three stars who have recorded varying degrees of success in their individual careers, were happy to make another come back on stage at the 2014 Hennessy Artistry grand finale at the Landmark Centre in V.I, Lagos The classy event saw 2face Idibia introduce former group members, Faze and Blackface on stage as they performed throw back songs to the delight of fans who enjoyed being taken back to the good of old days of songs like ‘Knock mi off,’ ‘Don’t You know’, Cousin’s cousin and others.
Although it was not the first time they would reunite on stage, in 2007, the group briefly reunited and released a reunion album titled Plan B and also performed together at 2face’s Buckwyld and Breathless concert on Monday, April 30, 2012 but fans were still delighted with their time on stage….
