Russia has been given a supended ban from EURO 2016

Russia have been handed a suspended disqualification from Euro 2016 over the crowd trouble at Saturday's game against England in Marseille.
 Uefa, European football's governing body, has also issued Russia a 150,000 euro (£119,000) fine.
 Uefa said the punishment will be imposed if similar incidents happen at any of Russia's remaining matches.
 Groups of Russia fans are being deported from France after repeated scenes of violence at Euro 2016.
 The suspended disqualification and fine only relates to incidents that occurred inside the stadium and are therefore under the jurisdiction of Uefa disciplinary bodies. The decision is open to appeal.
 Russia were also charged over fan racism and fireworks being set off during the game.

OJB Jezreel is dead

The truth is that death is inevitable in the life of human beings. Very sad news this morning! Talented singer, songwriter and producer Babatunde Okungbowa popularly known as OJB Jezreel has died. The music maestro, who was flown for a Kidney transplant in India in 2013 and was said to be doing well, had a relapse about two weeks ago and was kept on daily dialysis before his urgent need for oxygen yesterday. Unfortunately, he didn't make it. He died early this morning June 14th at Isolo General Hospital in Lagos.
 He is survived by 3 wives, Mabel, June, Korede and many children. May his soul rest in Peace. Amen

Talented Rapper Lil Wayne suffers seizure inside his private Jet

According to TMZ, Lil Wayne suffered a seizure during a cross-country flight, forcing his private jet to make an emergency landing in Nebraska ... TMZ has learned. Wayne was flying from Milwaukee to California when the seizure struck -- and we're told he'd blacked out when the pilot put the jet down Monday afternoon in Omaha. Paramedics are at the airstrip right now, and Wayne is alert again. As of 1:30 PM PT ... we're told he's refusing medical treatment.

The same thing happened to Weezy in 2012 ... when his private jet made emergency landings two days in a row. He also suffered seizures in 2013 -- one of which was nearly fatal.
Wayne has said he's epileptic and has suffered seizures since childhood.

Nigeria Army releases statement over compulsory retirement of some senior officers

After series of backlashes coming from the citizens, The Nigerian Army has dismissed speculations about the names and numbers of senior officers that were recently compulsorily retired, saying only 38 officers were affected.
 This is coming after criticism that the officers affected were those loyal to former president Jonathan and came from a section of the country.
 However, in a new statement issued by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the army shed more light on the retirement of senior military officers on Friday.
 Below is the full statement:
 The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to speculations and rumours regarding the number and names of the senior Army officers affected in the recent retirement exercise. This is worrisome as some individuals and media houses went to the ridiculous extent of publishing outrageous figures and names of serving officers as being retired. This is unethical and unfair.
 It is therefore necessary to inform the public to please disregard such inaccurate lists.
 We wish to state that only 38 senior officers were affected by the retirement exercise. For the avoidance of doubt the following is the statistics of the officers retired compulsorily; 9 Major Generals, 10 Brigadier Generals, 7 Colonels, 11 Lieutenant Colonels and a Major.
 We are quite aware that some mischievous elements are trying to whip up sentiments. This is quite unfortunate because all the affected officers were retired based on Service exigencies and in line with the Armed Forces Act, CAP A20 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
 It is pertinent to remind all that the Nigerian Army is a professional institution that is based on highest standards of discipline and conduct. Consequently it’s personnel must remain professional, neutral and apolitical at all times.

Technology Giant! Microsoft unveils plan to buy LinkedIn for $26.2 billion

Information reaching is that, Microsoft said Monday it signed a deal to acquire the professional social network LinkedIn for $26.2 billion in cash. “This deal brings together the world’s leading professional cloud with the world’s leading professional network,”
Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella said in a statement. According to a statement from the two firms, LinkedIn “will retain its distinct brand, culture and independence,” with Jeff Weiner remained at CEO of LinkedIn.
“Just as we have changed the way the world connects to opportunity, this relationship with Microsoft, and the combination of their cloud and LinkedIn’s network, now gives us a chance to also change the way the world works,”
Weiner said. The two firms said they had reached a “definitive” agreement that would close later this year, with the support of LinkedIn chairman and controlling shareholder Reid Hoffman.
 The move comes with Microsoft refocusing its efforts away from being a pure software firm, and LinkedIn seeking ways to boost growth. LinkedIn, which enables members to connect with similar-minded professionals and facilitates job hunting, has some 433 million members worldwide.

It is a precious thing to know the God you serve. The Almighty God is mighty to save. They that know their God shall be strong and do exploits. The three Hebrew boys were able to stand before the King and the religious leaders of their time to declare the sovereignty of the Almighty God because they knew Him well. From the story in today’s Bible reading, it is evident that there are tremendous benefits in knowing the God you serve. The knowledge of the boys delivered them from the destruction of the King. The presence of God provided a divine seal of approval that these were not jokers, but genuine children of God. The knowledge of God produces strength and courage, knowing well that there is nothing that confronts you in life that is beyond God. These boys did not serve God only because He could save them; they served Him majorly because of who they knew Him to be. There are many people who are only serving God as long as things are happening in their best interests.



 

God does not like enemies rejoicing over His children. Every time there is a situation that might result in the enemy rejoicing over the children of God, He will step in to show to the world that He is mighty to save. This is why I pity those who mess with the anointed of the Lord. There are two people to fear in this world: God, and the man that fears God. The moment you are a genuine child of God, all your enemies automatically become God’s enemies. Nobody can fight God and win, the moment God takes over the battles of your life, you can confidently go to sleep with your two eyes closed.



Are you like Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego? Have you made up your mind that no amount of threat made towards you in your place of work will make you compromise your faith? I want to congratulate you, because if you don’t bow, you are not going to burn. Don’t ever risk your glorious destiny in God by worshipping anything that represents Nebuchadnezzar. Your God is greater and has full control over all kings and powers. He has the power to unseat anyone making life difficult for you. I decree that everyone who wants you to bow to them at the detriment of your faith in God will be removed from their positions without prior notice in Jesus’ name.

 One of the girdles to use as a Christian soldier is truth, and Jesus is the Truth. Every Christian soldier must live by the truth of the Word of God. When Jesus came face to face with the devil in the wilderness, the devil was unable to bring anything against Him. In boxing there are three major blows: the jab, the hook and the uppercut. The ultimate goal of any boxer who is in the ring is to hit the head of the opponent. While the opponent is making efforts to see that his head is properly covered against the punches of the opponent, his stomach is exposed and the boxer throws the hook on the stomach. Once the stomach is affected, the opponent tilts forward and the boxer gives the uppercut because he now has access to the head. The spiritual implication of this is that the enemy concentrates on the weak points of a Christian soldier. This is the strategy he applies in dealing with many Christians. The devil has got you the moment he discovers your weak point. Therefore, the easiest way to win the battle against the enemy is to win the battle against yourself.
 Let there be a separation between you and those things the enemy can use to condemn you. Don’t ever allow the devil to bring you into captivity. You have to keep your body and bring it into subjection. This you can do by crying to the One who has recruited you as a soldier, to help you win the battle over yourself. This battle is not the type you win at once. The flesh will always try to rise again, but you have to continue to fight so that you can maintain your victory. The person, who will win a race, will only be crowned if he runs according to the rules. Therefore, you need to live holy. External forces intend to slow you down so that you don’t get to the finish line, some may try to stop or pull you back, but what is inside of you should be strong enough to overcome every resistance. You cannot afford to stop running until you are called up into glory because the devil will never take a break. Endure unto the end.

 It is not the one who was leading at the beginning that gets the crown but the one that leads to the end. You need to be disciplined as a Christian soldier. Without discipline, one will soon become an ex-champion. The Christian soldier must not allow the lusts of the flesh to distract him from the race to heaven.

These are the faces of the victims of the mass shooting at a crowded gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida on early Sunday morning by an alleged Islamic terrorist Omar Saddiqui Mateen. Omar opened fire at the crowd of over 320 club goers killing 50 people and injuring 53 others after he called 911 and pledged allegiance to ISIS. So far, only seven of the fifty victims have been officially identified by the city of Orlando on its website. Their names are: Edward Sotomayor Jr., 34; Stanley Almodovar III, 23; Luis Omar Ocasio-Capo, 20; Juan Ramon Guerrero, 22; Eric Ivan Ortiz-Rivera, 36; Peter O. Gonzalez-Cruz, 22; and Luis S. Vielma, 22.

In a biggest business cycle, China's HNA Hospitality denies talks with AccorHotels

Chinese conglomerate HNA Hospitality group said on Sunday it had not discussed buying shares in French hotel group AccorHotels (ACCP.PA) and had no plans to hold such talks.
 
HNA said it was issuing the statement in reaction to recent reports that AccorHotels was trying to combine its forces with those of HNA to thwart an attempt by another Chinese group Jin Jiang (600754.SS) to increase its stake in AccorHotels.
"At this stage HNA Hospitality Group did not discuss buying capital with the French group AccorHotels, nor expects to hold such discussions. Reports about it are false," the statement said.

Orlando gay nightclub shooting 'an act of terror and hate'

US President Barack Obama has described Sunday morning's gun attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, as "an act of terror and an act of hate".
Americans were united in "grief, outrage and resolve to defend our people", he said.
Omar Mateen, 29, killed 50 people and wounded 53 at the Pulse club before being shot dead by police.
The so-called Islamic State group has said it was behind the attack, but the extent of its involvement is not clear.
Who was Omar Mateen?
A statement on its affiliated Amaq news agency said that an IS "fighter" was responsible.
NBC News reported that Mateen had called the emergency services before the attack and swore allegiance to IS.
The gunman was killed in an exchange of fire with 11 police officers, after taking hostages at the club.
The attack is the worst mass shooting in recent US history.
Seven of the victims have so far been named - Edward Sotomayor Jr, Stanley Almodovar III, Luis Omar Ocasio-Capo, Juan Ramon Guerrero, Eric Ivan Ortiz-Rivera, Peter O Gonzalez-Cruz and Luis S Vielma.
A moment of silence was observed across the US at 18:00 local time (22:00 GMT).
In an apparently unrelated event, a heavily armed man was held on weapons and explosive materials charges in southern California after saying he wanted to go to a gay pride event in Los Angeles.

Mr Obama said the "brutal murder of dozens of innocent people" was a further reminder of how easy it was to acquire a deadly weapon in the US and shoot people.
"We have to decide if that's the kind of country we want to be," said the president, who has campaigned for stricter gun laws. "To actively do nothing is a decision as well."

Prophet Ayodele opens up: I warned Keshi!

As culled from flatimes, The popular Spiritual Head of INRI Church, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, who like other Nigerians, is still sad over the death of former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has disclosed that he actually warned the soccer legend to seek the face of God after the AFCON 2013 Nations Cup.
 Ayodele, while speaking to Daily Sun, said he wrote Keshi a personal letter after the South Africa 2013 Nations Cup campaign to intimate him of the divine revelations he got.
“I have been in deep pains since I learnt of his death. Keshi was a soccer icon. He served Nigeria well both as a player and as a coach. I remember writing him a personal letter after the Nations Cup in South Africa and warned him to seek the face of God. He needed prayers and I told Nigerians then that Keshi has completed his assignment with the Eagles after the Nations Cup and that Eagles needed another coach to move forward.”
Ayodele urged Nigerian football buffs not to dismiss divine revelations, even as he insisted that the country does not need a foreign coach ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
“I have sent messages to the NFF and I hope they will listen. I have told them the Abuja Glass House needs some spiritual cleansing [jazz getting into football these days]. On the Eagles, I have made it clear that what the Eagles need now is not a foreign coach. This is what God revealed to me. I m not saying it to attract publicity or for any financial gain."

And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you. - Mark 4:24
 How many blessings are you going to receive from the Word of God? It depends on how many you expect to receive. When God measures them out to you, He’ll be using your measuring stick, not His own. He always works that way.
 Two people can hear God’s Word about healing, for example. One will measure it with faith. “Praise God, by His stripes I was healed!” he’ll say. “I believe that with all my heart, and I’m going to keep on believing it until I receive my healing.”
The other will measure it with skepticism. “I don’t care what Bible verses he comes up with,” he’ll say. “I just don’t trust that preacher. I’ll give this healing stuff a try, but I doubt very much if anything’s going to come of it.”
Both of those people will get exactly what they expect. God will measure to them just as they measured the Word. One will get healed...the other won’t.
 I must warn you though, sometimes measuring the Word with faith is hard. Years ago, when Gloria first read the scripture, “Owe no man anything,” it was tempting for her to measure it as a curse, not a blessing. We were living in a terrible little house at the time, and she wanted a new one more than just about anything.
 How were we ever going to buy a decent house without borrowing? It didn’t seem possible. So, to her, it was as if that scripture had said, “Gloria, you can’t have a new house.”
But she refused to measure it that way. She grabbed the devil by the throat and said, “Look here now, you’re not going to cheat me out of my house.” Then she started believing that somehow God could provide her with a house debt free. Sure enough, He did.
 If you want to receive blessings by the bushel load, start going to the Word with a bushel basket. Put a big measure of faith in the hand of God. He’ll fill it to overflowing and give it right back to you!

Remembering MKO And June 12 By Reuben Abati

This day, June 12 will always be remembered by those who have defied the culture of silence and conspiracy against a significant moment in Nigerian history, to remind us of how today, 23 years ago, the battle against the exit of the military from power was fought at the ballot by a determined Nigerian people. It is indeed sad that apart from the South West states of Oyo, Ogun, Lagos and Osun which have doggedly continued to celebrate the hero, and later martyr of that battle, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola, there has been studied indifference to the June 12 phenomenon by the Federal Government and remarkably, the rest of Nigeria.
This is sadder still because MKO Abiola was not an ethnic champion: he was a man of pan-Nigerian vision and ambition, who went into politics to give the people hope, to unite them and lead them out of poverty. His campaign manifesto was instructively titled “Hope 93- Farewell to Poverty: How to make Nigeria a better place for all.
”When Nigerians voted in the presidential election of June 12, 1993, they chose the Muslim-Muslim ticket of MKO Abiola and Baba Gana Kingibe under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). MKO Abiola not only defeated the Presidential candidate of the National Republican Convention (NRC), Bashir Tofa in his home state of Kano, he also defeated him “fairly and squarely” with “58.4% of the popular vote and a majority in 20 out of 30 states and the FCT.”
That election was adjudged to be free and fair, and peaceful. But the Ibrahim Babangida-led military government had been playing games with the transition-to-civilian rule, and so it chose not to announce the final results of the election, and later on June 23, 1993, the Presidential election was annulled.
 This was a coup against the Nigerian people, and an act of brazen injustice, but June 12 will go down in history as the birthday of the revolution that swept the Nigerian military back to the barracks. The media began to refer to MKO Abiola as “the man widely believed to have won the June 12, 1993 election”, or perhaps, “the undeclared winner” but those who played key roles at the time, including Humphrey Nwosu, the chief electoral umpire, have since confessed that “their hands were tied”, and that indeed MKO Abiola won the election. General Ibrahim Babangida, then Head of State, has not been able to live down that error of judgement. It was the final error that also consumed his government, forcing him to “step aside”, and as it turned out “step away”.
He left behind an Interim National Government (ING) led by Chief Ernest Shonekan who was handpicked for the assignment, but the ING contrivance only survived for 83 days; in November 1993, General Sani Abacha, who was in the ING as Minister of Defence, seized power. It was obvious that the military never wanted to relinquish power.
 June 12 brought out the worst and the best in the people: the worst in the military and its hungry agents definitely, but the injustice of its annulment released the people’s energy and capacity for protest. Progressive Nigerians spoke in unison against military tyranny and the violation of their right to choose. The Abacha government, which had initially deceived the progressives about its intentions, unleashed a reign of terror on the country: media houses were attacked, journalists were jailed, bombed, beaten, civil society activists were hauled into detention. But the repression was met with stiff resistance.
 The people insisted on the election of June 12, the military’s exit and Abiola’s declaration as winner of the election. On June 11, 1994, in what is now known as the Epetedo declaration, Chief MKO Abiola declared a Government of National Unity and asked for his mandate to be duly recognized. He was subsequently arrested for treasonable felony, but that only added fuel to the protests. Abiola later died in custody on July 7, 1998, a month to the day, after General Sani Abacha himself died.
 But the real outcome was that the military had been branded evil, and the people would accept nothing but the end of military rule. This was the scenario that led to the return to democratic rule on May 29, 1999, and the specific choice of a political figure from the South West to assuage the expressed fears of the South West that the denial of MKO Abiola’s mandate was an assault on the right of the South West.
 The ethnicization of the June 12 protest was unfortunate because indeed the struggle against tyranny recruited foot soldiers from virtually every part of the country, international support also gave the struggle higher relevance; those were the days when serving foreign diplomats joined pro-democracy protesters to wave placards on the streets. Many died, and they were all from across Nigeria, businesses were affected, but the people were determined to make the sacrifice. It was that revolution that made May 29, 1999 possible, and if any date is deserving of celebration, it is June 12.
 The irony is that those who benefited most from MKO Abiola’s martyrdom do not want to be reminded of him. And those who used to talk about injustice have since, given the opportunity, inflicted their own injustice on the people. Those who used to swear by Abiola’s name have since found new political patrons. Those who proclaimed Abiola as the symbol of democracy and the rallying point for the people’s hopes have since been dancing on his grave. Successive federal administrations since 1999, have also failed to redress the injustice of 1993, by doing the minimum of declaring June 12 a national holiday.
 There have been suggestions along this line, including the possibility of a post-humous national honour (the only constraint here is that the national honour is not awarded post-humously although there is nothing that expressly forbids this in the enabling Act), or the naming of a major national monument after MKO, or the official admission that the June 12, 1993 election was indeed won and lost and was not in any way inconclusive.
 Truth: Nigeria forgets too soon, too easily. For, when indeed the Jonathan administration tried to address this injustice by naming a significant national institution after MKO Abiola, the attempt resulted in controversy and a storm. The last paragraph of then President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2012 Democracy Day speech had renamed the University of Lagos after MKO Abiola. Both the students and staff trooped to the streets in protest. They rejected the name-change and declared that their university’s name is a brand that nobody, not even the Federal Government of Nigeria could tamper with, in honour of anybody, living or dead.
 They said they were not consulted and the University Act had not been amended. Politics and opportunism was read into the gesture, and the government had to eat the humble pie. Would the reaction be different if another government were to take the same step, the same way the reaction to the increase in the pump price of petroleum products has been different this year, under a different dispensation?
 MKO Abiola was a victim of military politics and conspiracy, now his martyrdom and legacy seem lost in the intricate web of conditioned amnesia and the ego of those who continue to compete with his memory. In a country where history is no longer taught, and there are no well-managed museums and monuments to make history part of the public landscape, a generation is already emerging, like the generation of UNILAG students in 2012, who may someday ask: who is MKO Abiola? Those who refuse to teach history run the risk of producing children who may lack the capacity to remember and the wisdom to appreciate history’s many lessons.
 Those who insist speculatively that MKO Abiola could not have been a good President also miss the point about his example and legacy: his martyrdom shaped the architecture of much that happened subsequently in Nigerian history, and it is not the military’s duty to veto the people of Nigeria. The military have been shipped out of power for good, they can only return as they have been doing as retired soldiers, and whatever happens with our democracy, the people are resolved that nobody can annul their right to choose, and it is part of their right to choose, to sometimes make mistakes and learn. The various state governments and civil groups that remember and celebrate MKO Abiola every year deserve a pat on the back for defying amnesia. June 12 is ultimately not just about one man who became a symbol; it is also about the collective struggle against military tyranny, a reminder of people power and the value of civil society; it is that historical moment when Nigerians voted for change and stood by it.
 On this occasion of the 23rd anniversary, may the words of MKO Abiola at Epetedo on June 11, 1994 prick our conscience: “People of Nigeria, exactly one year ago, you turned out in your millions to vote for me, Chief MKO Abiola as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. But politicians in uniform, who call themselves soldiers but are more devious than any civilian would want to be, deprived you of your God-given right to be ruled by the President you had yourselves elected. These soldier-politicians introduced into our body politic, a concept hitherto unknown to our political lexicography, something strangely called the “annulment” of an election perceived by all to have been the fairest, cleanest and most peaceful ever held in our nation.
“…My hope has always been to arouse whatever remnants of patriotism are left in the hearts of these thieves of your mandate, and to persuade them that they should not allow their personal desire to rule to usher our beloved country into an ear of political instability and ruin…
“Instead they have resorted to the tactics of divide and rule, bribery, and political perfidy, misinformation and (vile) propaganda. How much longer can we tolerate all this? There is no humiliation I have not endured, no snare that has not been put in my path, no “setup” that has not been designed for me in my endeavor to use the path of peace to enforce the mandate that you bestowed on me one year ago. It has been a long night. But the dawn is here. Today people of Nigeria, I join you all in saying, “Enough is Enough!”…Enough of military rule...Enough of square pegs in round holes…”

 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Bible in One Year: Ezra 4-1-6:12, Ecclesiastes 6:1-9
MESSAGE:
 Once Paul found out what his destiny was, he was never deterred from it. He never allowed the mandate and ministry given to him by our Lord Jesus to be frustrated. He was determined to fulfil his God-given vision amidst all odds. He fought the good fight of faith and finished his mission. The Christian life is a life of continuous warfare that won’t end until we get to heaven. This is why you must see yourself as a soldier of the cross who is under constant attack from the devil. The mission of the devil is to kill, to steal and to destroy. None of these tragedies should happen to a child of God. You are to be defended against the wiles of the devil. There are many people who have lost their lives cheaply to the devil. The dreams and aspirations of some people have been stolen by the enemy of their souls. There are many people who come to church but are being destroyed through the deceit and lies of the devil.
 Our Lord is the Commander-in-Chief of the Hosts of Heaven. After Jesus Christ finished His assignment on earth, He formed the nucleus of an army here on earth, and by extension, you are in that army too. The mission of these soldiers is to resist the devil and his works. For anyone to be a soldier of the Cross and not become a casualty, there are conditions to be met. The soldiers of the cross have just one enemy; the devil. To beat the devil and defeat all his strategies, there is the need for one to be trained to fight; a spiritual civilian cannot win a battle against the devil.
 Paul kept the faith of sound doctrine despite the false teachers and instructors of his days. He preached the absolute Word of God without minding who was affected. He did not allow the culture of his time to override the Word of God. He was obedient to the heavenly vision that God gave him. When God sends His soldiers on an errand, He does not tolerate a report that the mission is impossible. This is why I never fret anything He asks me to do something; because I know He will provide the strength to accomplish the mission. A soldier of the Cross must be ready at all times to preach the Word and defend it against post-modern attacks and philosophies of men. There is the need to watch carefully to ensure that there is no lapse on our part. Till the final moment of Apostle Paul, he did the work of an evangelist and made full proof of his ministry. We need to seek the power of God and be committed to seeing the effect of that power in our lives. This is why we need to get serious with God. No one joins the army and does whatever he likes.
Prayer Point: I refuse to be disqualified from my spiritual rank in Jesus’ name.

Why Fayose should not be chained- Ekiti legislators

Given Governor Ayodele Fayose’s infatuations with President Muhammadu Buhari, it is a surprise to many that the former army general now at the helm of affairs of the country has largely ignored him. Well, not so if the governor’s leading supporters and aides are to be believed. Indeed, if any, the All Progressives Congress, APC, led federal administration is tightening the noose around the Ekiti State governor, some of the partisans of Mr. Fayose told Vanguard during a courtesy visit to Vanguard last weekend. FayoseFayose The quartet including three members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr. Segun Aderemi, Deputy Speaker, Dr. Samuel Omotoso, Chairman, House Committee on Health and Chief Gboyega Aribisogan, Chairman, House Committee on Information were joined by the governor’s Special Adviser, Public Communication and New Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka. They were at Vanguard to draw attention to what they claimed was a covert order by the Department of State Services, DSS to stop the governor from travelling abroad. Their visit followed newspaper publications penultimate weekend that the DSS had issued a signal to all its formations at exit points out of the country barring Fayose from leaving the country. The reports said that the governor was to be told to report to the Director-General of the DSS should he have any need to leave the country. Travel ban The news reports specifically mentioned that two governors, one from the Southwest and the other from the South-South were the targets of the ban. Supporters of Mr. Fayose say he is the one and that the other governor supposedly under the travel restriction is Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State. Both men have the pedigree of being two of the leading hatchet men of the PDP in the run-up to the last general election. Understandably, the Ekiti State House of Assembly which is wholly dominated by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was quick to denounce the alleged order. The PDP state chapter in Osun State and some other organs of the party have also been up in arms against the perceived order. So given the fact that there has been no official confirmation of the alleged ban, suggestions to the visiting Ekiti officials to put the claim in the realm of unfounded speculations were surprisingly dismissed. “The same way media men get information that is genuine that is also how a government gets information. The governor has confirmed it that it is directed at his person. The other governor has confirmed it also. They have done their homework.” Asked if the governor had successfully penetrated into the security apparatus of the presidency, the lawmakers responded thus: “We are politicians and we control the apparatus of government at the state level and federal level. Because we have this kind of structure within the security circles, there is nothing that happens that we don’t know. The same personnel that work with the Federal Government are those who work with the state. So as a government, we use our advantage to get information. But what we are saying is that even at our level, we have investigated and found out that the APC led federal government is responsible for this because they have made us understand that our governor is an enemy of the state.” Curbing dictatorship Asserting that their cry was meant to ensure that dictatorship was nipped in the bud, they said: “It could be Ekiti State today; it could be anywhere next time. Look at what happened in the Southeast where people are being killed just because they are protesting and Nigerians are not talking. So we have elected to do this just to let Nigerians know that this country is sick, and we need people of good conscience to out to rescue the country from the brink. “They should leave Fayose alone; they should allow him to act the way God has sent him to come and act in this country. This story was published in two national dailies, and they have not debunked the report. And if they are keeping silent, we are not doing that because if it is not true, I expect them to debunk it.” So given the threat would the governor be travelling anytime soon, Mr. Olayinka was specifically asked “The governor will travel outside this country in the next few weeks. He will announce it, and the media will follow him,” he said. Challenged on the basis that there could be a moral reason to keep Governor Fayose from travelling out of the country given his recent caustic attacks on President Buhari, the quartet quickly rebuffed the claim saying that every comment made by Fayose on Buhari was founded on facts and logic. Attack on Buhari However, the attack on the president while he was in China on a state visit and the charge by the governor to the Chinese authorities not to honour the administration’s bid for financial leverage on some capital projects was a controversy taken too far for many Nigerians. The Ekiti delegation was, however, unrepentant. “On the issue of China, we know a lot of Nigerians will be shocked because we deliberated on all these things before we started, we knew quite well that most commentators will be surprised about how a Governor of a state can challenge the Federal Government on the international stage, and the Governor is still going to do more of that,” they said. China trip Affirming that the assertions of the governor were meant to deepen the country’s democracy, they said: “Opposition is embedded in democracy and it makes democracies strong. The China trip, at a point, they said it was currency swap, everybody was writing about it saying they are transferring our currency to Yuan, how can you do that when even China is keeping its own foreign reserves in Dollars? That is not wisdom and when they saw the resistance from Ekiti state government demanding that China should give the modalities for the currency swap, they later told us no currency swap, they said it is a loan and somebody later said it not a loan. So you can see how government is talking from both sides of their mouth and to the glory of God, Fayose has done tremendously well, especially with regard to roads with many of the roads done and delivered.” “We are in a democracy in this country and we are running a federal system of government, Buhari is not superior to the Governor of Ekiti state under the Nigerian constitution, Nigeria is a state, a President is a President while a Governor is a Governor. If not for this arrangement that we run that all governors will have to run to Abuja to get money, in the United States, states operates independently, you might not even need to see the President throughout your tenure, when running your state.” Advocating a return to true federalism, they said: “Unfortunately now, those who are advocating true federalism are now in government, those who are advocating state police are now in government, those who are advocating that Nigeria should be restructured, they are no longer talking. Everybody is saying Fayose is talking too much, but majority of the things he has been saying are coming to pass.”

Former Military Head Of State Ibrahim Babangida Returns To Nigeria Amidst Death Rumors

After days of speculation, Former Military Leader, Ibrahim Babangida, returned to Nigeria yesterday June 10th after he was rumored to have passed on in Germany where he had gone to for medical checkup. Babangida arrived Minna, the Niger state capital at about 3pm.
 Rumors of his death were rife on social media three days ago after he failed to return to Nigeria from Germany on Tuesday June 7th. He refuted the rumors when he spoke with TV Continental on Wednesday June 8th.

MESSAGE:
 One of my sons once said ‘For every new level there is a new devil’. This is very correct in the life of every believer. I always tell my children that if they are not relevant in the scheme of things, they cannot be a target of the devil. But, the moment you make up your mind to obey God, to love God and to serve Him, you become a target for the enemies, both within and without. As a soldier of the Cross, you do not fight your battles with physical weapons because it is the nature of a battle that will determine your arsenal of weapons. As a good soldier of the Cross, you must be able to endure hardness in the race to heaven. You have to fight lawfully and follow those rules which characterise a righteous person.
 There are many factors attacking the Christian faith today. We cannot just continue to be passive; there is the need to defend the Christian faith against modern and post-modern ideologies, so that we can all lay hold of eternal life. Any Christian who is timid and fearful cannot carry out the struggles of spiritual warfare.
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” - Ephesians 6:11
 Those who were before us were able to stand strong and give a reason for the hope they had in Christ Jesus, we cannot but do same. Timothy as an evangelist, did not waste any opportunity, he constantly stood before men and confesses his faith in Christ. Jesus Christ our master stood before Pontius Pilate and defended his Son-ship and Kingship. One of the ways to be a good soldier of the Cross is to appreciate the works of the Cross and live our lives to reflect the sacrifices made by Jesus. This we can achieve when we begin to live a life of purity and godly behaviour. We must follow the truth that has been received in Christ. The truth that set you free and gave you liberty must be passed on to others, so that they can experience what you experienced. This is why our pastors need to go back to the ancient landmarks of sound apostolic teaching. There is a need for urgency on the part of the clergy to feed their flocks with the undiluted Word of life.
 Hardship will come, Satan will launch all forms of attack against the preaching of the gospel of Jesus, yet, we must not allow all these to divert our focus from our primary assignment as soldier of the cross. Also, don’t allow the affairs of this world to make you a victim in the battles of life. As a messenger of Jesus, you must do all that is within your power to please the Owner of your life and be committed to the work of the Kingdom. It is my prayer that your enemies will miss whenever they target you in Jesus’ name.
Action Point: Put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

MESSAGE:
 We live in a world where challenges and problems confront people on a daily basis. In my many years of ministering, I have sadly seen many lives wasted and destines destroyed by the devil and his agents. While some are looking up to God for healing, others are looking for deliverance from satanic afflictions, and some are struggling from self and sin. The Name of Jesus is a universal cure for all problems. If you believe in Jesus, no matter how hopeless your situation and condition maybe, there will be a supernatural intervention in your life.
 Every believer carries a measure of God’s glory. However, as we walk with God, we realise that the glory of God is in different phases, and God expects us to move from one level of glory to another consistently. In Christ, there is only a starting point but there is no end to the activation of His glory and wonders in our lives. All we need to do is believe Him and follow as He leads. Prayer precedes penetration into certain realms of God’s glory. Performing wonders is easy when the glory of God saturates our lives.
 In one of our crusades several years ago in Lagos Nigeria, there was a young man born with only one testicle. As his parents were moving him from one place to another in search of a solution, they met a native doctor who ended up destroying the only testicle he had. Yet, he went ahead to get married when he became of age. He came to the crusade ground and the presence of God was so intense that he had a touch from God and discovered that he had been given two new testicles. By the time he came for his testimony, he was in the company of his pregnant wife. God is able to give a touch to anyone who desires a miracle. If you want your life to be full of wonders, it is important that you realize that being on the Lord’s side is the only way. With God, you cannot lose and without God, you cannot win.
 All through the ages, the Name of Jesus has done great and marvelous things. If you are an unbeliever, then you will not be able to activate His wonders in your life. Happy are those who believe in Him, because nobody can alter or cancel His plans for their lives. It is the desire of God that you record His wonders on a daily basis in your life. If you truly believe in the Name of Jesus, you can move from one level of glory to a greater level of glory constantly. The Name of Jesus is full of wonders.
Prayer point: Father, please activate Your wonders in my life.

 There is no better life than a life that is full of wonders. This is the kind of life that Jesus Christ truly reflected. At a point in your Christian race, the life of Christ begins to replace your natural life and the abilities of God are made manifest in your endeavours. As a believer, people should look at you and prefer to serve the God you serve as a result of the undeniable proof that they can visibly see.
 “Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.” - Acts 4:16
 During the time of Jesus’ earthly ministry, the people marvelled at His manner of doctrine every time they had an opportunity to listen to Him at the synagogue. This is an example we should follow as children of God in our daily lives. People should be able to testify that the moment you gave your life to Christ, you become a supernatural being and the life of Christ was implanted in you.
 There is the need to understand the potency of the power behind signs and wonders. The Name of Jesus is the only weapon that triggers wonders in the life of people. At the sight of His presence during the marriage at Cana in Galilee, they knew they could not be embarrassed. The Name of Jesus puts an end to all forms of harassment, lack and disgrace. When His Name is at work in your life, you can never be a victim of situations and circumstances. His Name is a seal of authority upon all our blessings. The Name of Jesus is all you need to activate your miracles. The lame man at the beautiful gate was healed through that Name and he never returned to his past. When you apply the Name to your life, everything about you becomes new.
 The Name of Jesus will cause doors that are shut against others to be opened to you. As you key into the power in that Name, the Lord will do to you the great things He has been doing in my life in Jesus’ name. This is why you cannot afford to be distanced from Him. One day, the Redeemed Christian Church of God choir was rehearsing for a major program, I decided to go and inspect their level of preparedness. On sighting me, one of them screamed that her day had finally come. As the other members were queuing up, this lady dashed into my car and sat where I sat. She had been barren for a long time, but nine months after that day, she delivered her baby. The Name of Jesus sets free from sin and all forms of bondage.
Prayer point: Father, please make me a candidate for Your signs and wonders this month in Jesus’ name.

GHANA Football Association has paid tributes to the late Nigerian coach and footballer, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi.

President Kwesi Nyantakyi sent a message of condolence to the Nigeria Football Federation and its President, Amaju Pinnick. He describes Keshi a great man and a noble spirit, whose shining example of dedication to football and to footballers was not only to dedicated Nigeria but to several countries including Ghana. He says the flags at the GFA headquarters will be flying at half-mast as a token of the Ghana football fraternity’s deepest respect for Stephen Keshi. We lost an icon – Amanze Uchegbulam former Vice President, NFF “Big shock that Keshi is gone. Keshi was an icon of Nigerian football. Nobody can talk about Nigerian football without talking about Keshi. He died too early. It’s unfortunate we lost him. “Keshi played his part, both as player and coach; won trophies for this country.” Keshi was a Pillar of Nigerian football —Paul Bassey, Chairman Akwa United “We spoke last week and he never gave an indication of a man who had just one week to live. So Sad! Nigerian football icon Stephen Okechukwu Chinedu Keshi is dead

Nigerian football icon Stephen Okechukwu Chinedu Keshi died suddenly in the early hours of Wednesday in Benin City, Edo state, TheCable understands.
He was scheduled to return to the United States on Wednesday evening before he suffered cardiac arrest.
The former international football player and coach had lost his wife of 35 years, Kate, last year after a prolonged battle with cancer.
TheCable confirmed his death from a member of his family as well as one of his close associates.
“He was not ill at all, never showed any signs of  illness, but we suspect he never got over the death of his wife,” a friend said.
He is survived by four children and his mother.
Keshi, the only Nigerian coach to have won the Africa Cup of Nations, achieved a rare feat in 2013 by becoming only the second person to win the trophy both as a player and a coach.
The only other person to have achieved the feat is Egypt’s Mahmoud El-Gohary.
Keshi, a product of St. Finbarr’s College, Akoka, Lagos, started his playing career at a very young age at ACB Football Club, and later played for New Nigeria Bank, Stade d’Abidjan, Africa Sports, Lokeren, Anderlecht, RC Strasbourg, and a host of other clubs.
He represented Nigeria from 1982, at age 20, till 1994, most of the time captaining the Super Eagles and scoring vital goals from his position as a central defender.
He also coached Togo and Nigeria at the World Cup, as well as Mali.
Keshi, nicknamed the “Big Boss” for his leadership skills, is the fifth member of the all-conquering 1994 team to die, following Uche Okafor, Thompson Oliha, Rashidi Yekini and Wilfred Agbonavbare.
‘He has found rest’
Meanwhile, the family has released a statement announcing his death.
The statement signed by Emmanuel Ado was titled: “Stephen Keshi CON has gone to be with his wife”.
“With thanksgiving to God, the Ogbuenyi Fredrick Keshi family of Illah in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, announces the death of Mr. Stephen Okechukwu Chinedu Keshi,” Ado wrote.
“Our son, brother, father, father-in-law,brother-in-law, has gone to be with his wife of 35 years (Nkem), Mrs. Kate Keshi, who passed on on the 9th December 2015.
“Since her death, Keshi has been in mourning. He came back to Nigeria to be with her. He had planned to fly back today Wednesday, before he suffered a cardiac arrest. He has found rest.
“We thank God for his life.
“We want to ask for understanding in this very difficult time for the family.”

FG, Niger Delta Govts evolving common strategy to end attack on oil pipelines

As culled from LIB, In a meeting summoned on the instruction of President Muhammadu Buhari, the federal government and Niger Delta states have started developing a common and united strategy to deal with the recent resurgent militant attacks on the nation's oil installations.
 According to the Senior Special Assistant-Media & Publicity In the Office of the Vice President, Laolu Akande,at a meeting held yesterday at the Presidential Villa, and presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, governors from Niger Delta states, three ministers and military service chiefs met behind closed doors to discuss the situation, and forge a common strategy to halt what is considered by both federal and state governments as acts of economic sabotage by the militants.
 At the end of the meeting, which lasted over two hours, it was made known that the federal government is proceeding on a collaborative strategy with the governments, communities in the Niger Delta region and other relevant stakeholders towards tackling the situation holistically.
 Disclosing this at the end of the meeting, Delta State Ifeanyi Okowa who briefed State House Correspondents said the meeting identified the need for synergy between the federal and the state governments as a very important step going forward. Elaborating on the collaboration, Governor Okowa said “one thing that we have identified is the synergy between the federal government and states is very important and this meeting has actually revealed a lot of issues and we believe that the collaboration between the Federal Government and States would help us to tackle the issues in the Niger Delta” Governor Okowa disclosed that a lot of decisions were taken at the meeting after they were briefed by Service Chiefs.
 He said “we have taken a lot of decisions which we think will help us to mitigate what is going on currently in the states particularly in Delta and Bayelsa”, reiterating the belief that “we are going to find a solution very soon”.
Still on the outcome of the meeting, he added that it was decided that military presence in the region should be de-escalated, though it was agreed that the forces should be kept to provide security and presence while government begins immediate engagement process with the communities in the affected areas.
 Asked by press about the fate of the amnesty programme, Governor Okowa noted that the Presidential Adviser on the Amnesty Programme briefed the meeting and stated that the programme was actually still on-going.
 He added that“we have a Special Adviser in charge of Amnesty and he is doing a lot of work.” Those at the meeting were Governors from the Niger Delta states which include Governors of Edo, Ondo, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, Abia, and the Deputy Governor of Cross River. On the side of the federal government were the Minister of Defense, Rtd. Major General Mohammed Dan Ali, Niger Delta Affairs Minister, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Dr. Ibe Kachikwu.
 Military service chiefs were also in attendance led by the Chief of Defence Staff, Lt.Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin and all the Service Chiefs who briefed the meeting on the security situation in the region.

 Being positive is vital to our walk as Christians. To be positive is an expression of our confidence in the Almighty God and His Word. Hence, a positive expectation is an act motivated by the Word of God, it is proof that all will be well, an evidence that you are bigger than all your problems and circumstances, an assurance that today’s situation does not determine tomorrow’s glory, and that as long as you are connected to Jesus, all your stories will turn out to be great testimonies. You cannot achieve your goals in life if you are not optimistic. When you are positive about the outcome of every situation, what the devil meant for evil will always turn out good for you. Every outstanding event in a man’s life will always be as a result of his expectation in God. No wonder Jesus said in Mark 9:23
“….. If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”
Expectations help us to operate at a level where there is no impossibility in our dictionary. The crippled man in today’s Bible reading had been in that situation for a long time. Everyone who passed by the beautiful gate knew that there was a man there who was always begging for arms, but when his moment of change came, nothing could stop him from obtaining his miracle. I decree into the life of a user of this devotional believing God for the fruit of the womb, an end has come to your barrenness in Jesus’ name. The crippled man was expecting money as usual, but he was given something that was much more than money. Even if you do not have enough faith, the power of God is not dependent upon your faith only. God is committed to showing His glory in your life. Have you been trusting God for something and you feel that God is getting too late? Don’t worry, in His time, everything becomes beautiful. They that trust in the Lord can never be put to shame. For this reason, you have to ensure that when God is distributing His blessings, you are not exempted. There are people who cannot have a divine appointment with God because they are still living in sin. Have you lost your relationship with God? You have to come back to Him. He is a faithful Father who will not reward you according to your sins once you repent of them. The righteous look forward to the future, but there is no future for anyone who is still in sin. The wicked are always fearful because they know that they will reap the rewards of their sins. When one is obedient to the will of God, he becomes confident in what God is capable of doing with his life. Obedience brings the assurance of a glorious future, while disobedience to God brings an assurance of the wrath and anger of God. You will not be visited with the wrath of God in Jesus’ name.
Key point: The end of a righteous man will always be peace.

Philippines President-Elect: Support Citizens By Saying Public ‘Can Kill’ Criminals

According to Leadership, Philippines president-elect Rodrigo Duterte effectively said he supports vigilantism in a nationally-televised speech.
Faced with criminals who resist arrest or threaten citizens, the controversial politician suggested that it was fine for citizens to take the law into their own hands.
“If he fights, and he fights to the death, you can kill him,” said the former mayor of Davao City, who was elected to the presidency in a decisive victory last month.
During the address, Duterte also encouraged citizens to use deadly force against drug dealers who threaten them. “Please feel free to call us, the police, or do it yourself if you have the gun … you have my support,” he told the crowd and television cameras.
“Shoot him [the drug dealer] and I’ll give you a medal.”

Rap Battle; Nick Cannon is challenging Eminem to $100,000 price

Nick Cannon seems to be serious about getting back into the rap game. He recently offered a few bars for the soundtrack of Chiraq, and is now trying to challenge raps best to a battle, most notably Eminem. The two have been beefing since early ’00’s and now Cannon is calling him out and any other rapper who is willing to put down $100,000.
“I’m still ready! I’m trying to find him. Where is he?” Cannon said in an interview Tim Westwood. “We gonna be out in the States for the BET Awards. I’m holding a $100,000 battle—whoever wants it—but it has to be someone who can put up 100 grand … I done reached out to Tyga, he didn’t want it. I went to all Slaughterhouse. MESSAGE:
 The church is a spiritual evidence of the miracles of God. It is the Church that acts as the medium through which the miracles of God manifests to the world. Every individual in the Church of Jesus Christ has distinct functions. Many Christians today do not seem to be aware of the tremendous power they are endowed with once they become born again. Meanwhile, those who acknowledge, appreciate and use accordingly, the power given to them, experience miracles. Miracles from God cause the Church to grow. When there are genuine miracles, there is always an explosion of attendance, spiritual growth and commitment to the work of God. During one of our Holy Ghost services in Nigeria, the power of God was present and several miracles were happening around the altar. As a result, many people were standing up to catch a glimpse of what was responsible for the widespread excitement. There was a man in the congregation who was very short and could not see what was happening because others were taller and were blocking his view. Then with a strong desire, he whispered “Oh Lord, I wish I were taller”, and the Almighty God, who knows the voice of everyone, made him two inches taller. Ordinarily, this is not possible, but where God is involved, impossibilities became possible. This year, whatever looks impossible before you will receive the attention of Heaven in Jesus’ name.
 We however, need to put away anything that can hinder the manifestation of the power of God in our Churches. The Holy Spirit must be given unhindered access to do His work of healing and of setting the captives free. Are you a pastor, a prophet, a teacher, an evangelist, or an apostle? You have been chosen by God to carry out the task of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is a purpose for your being gifted in the body of Christ. The manifestations of your call should not be the wearing of flamboyant dresses or globe-trotting. You are to move around with the anointing of healing the sick, setting the captives free, making the barren fruitful, and replacing sorrow with joy through the power of the Holy Spirit.
 In the Redeemed Christian Church of God annual convention of a particular year, the Lord asked me to pray over a piece of cloth and hold it, so that all that were barren could come out and touch it. I was amazed at the crowd that responded. They came out in their hundreds, and at a point, when I got tired of holding the cloth, I discontinued the session. Suddenly, a woman came out weeping profusely, saying it was when it got to her turn to touch the piece of cloth that I asked them to stop. Reluctantly, I asked the ushers to give the cloth to her. The following year, the same woman came to testify with her baby.
 Prayer Point: Father, please make me a carrier of Your glory.

 Since leaving office one year and one week ago, I have had the luxury of time to be able to reflect on the future of my great country, Nigeria.
 So today is not about my personal memories or a litany of ‘what ifs’. No! Today I would like to share with you what I believe is the key learning from my experiences for the future of democracy not only in Nigeria but also across the entire continent of Africa.
 I said before the last election that my political ambition was not worth the blood of one Nigerian.
 I was true to my word when on March16th, 2015, just after the election, when the results were still being collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), I called my opponent, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) to concede, in order to avoid any conflict and ensure a peaceful transition of power.
 This was without precedent in my country and I am proud that it achieved my goal of no conflict arising from the result of the election.
 Some may think it is ironic that perhaps my proudest achievement was not winning the 2015 Presidential Election.By being the first elected Nigerian leader to willingly hand over power via the ballot box, to the opposition party, without contesting the election outcome, I proved to the ordinary man or woman in the country that I was his or her equal.
 That his or her vote was equal to mine, and that democracy is the ‘Government by the will of the people’, and Nigeria, and indeed Africa is ripe for democracy.

In putting the record straight and as well informing Nigerians, A press statement has been released by the Presidency concerning a 10-day vacation President Buhari is about to undertake, to enable him to rest and also see an E.N.T (Ear. Nose. Throat) Specialist in London. The statement reads,

President Muhammadu Buhari will take 10 days off and travel to London on Monday June 6th to rest. During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T. specialist for a persistent ear infection. The President was examined by his Personal Physician and an E.N.T Specialist in Abuja and was treated. Both Nigerian doctors recommended further evaluation purely as a precaution.

 1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

MESSAGE:
 We live in a physical environment that is governed by physical laws. However, miracles are said to happen when physical laws are set aside for the manifestations of the supernatural laws of God. There are certain situations that have been set aside as platforms for the supernatural manifestation of the power and glory of God in the lives of His children.
“Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” - John 9:3
 A woman once came to me saying that her daughter in America was about to be delivered of a baby, but there were complications; the baby could not be delivered normally, and if she was to undergo a caesarean section, she would die. I prayed on two hankies for her and she took them to America. One of the hankies got lost in the hospital; of course it was the devil at work. She then tied the second one round the hand of her daughter. That day, the doctor decided that he would operate on her the following morning, but before the arrival of the doctor, the baby was delivered normally, to the glory of God. God is indeed a God of miracles. If you bring a dead child to Him, you will return with a living one. If you bring your sorrows to Him, you will leave rejoicing. When you bring sickness to Him, you will leave with healing. If your marriage is being threatened by divorce and you present it to Him, you will rejoice again.
 When Jesus Christ was here on earth and Jairus’ daughter died, He was there to bring the girl back to life. When the son of the widow of Nain died, Jesus stood by and commanded the boy to arise. When Lazarus died, Jesus raised him up. When Jesus Himself died, He resurrected. The power of His resurrection will awaken everything dead in your life in Jesus’ name.
 Jesus Christ knew that Lazarus was sick, when his sisters informed Him of their brother’s sickness, Jesus Christ responded by saying that his sickness was not unto death, but for the glory of God. This is why you must never query God. He knows the end from the beginning and He has your best interest at heart. Jesus came for the sinners and not the righteous. It does not really matter what the extent of your sin is, Jesus is able to forgive you and cleanse you from all of them. And the moment He does this, you became a candidate of His miracles. The God of miracles will set before you an open door to sound health, wealth and prosperity in Jesus’ name. There is no miracle you need that is too hard for God.
Key Point: If you don’t follow after God, your miracle cannot be permanent.

Ramadan fast begins today June 6th

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III has directed all Muslims to begin the Ramadan fast today June 6. The Sultan gave the directive in Sokoto on Sunday, saying that the new moon was sighted in various states in the country and that the moon sighting was verified by the National Moon Sighting Committee.
"Today, 29th Day of Shaaban, 1437 AH, equivalent to June, 5, 2016, therefore marks the end of Shaaban. Therefore, tomorrow, June 6, 2016 is equivalent to the 1st of Ramadan,1437 AH,” The Sultan said in a statement

Presidency explains why they did not release the name of looters

•Interim forfeiture: N126 billion; $9 billion; £2 billion By Emmanuel Aziken & Levinus Nwabughiogu The Federal Government said, yesterday, it had made cash recoveries totaling N78,325,354,631.82; $185,119,584.61; £3,508,355.46 and €11, 250, from looters of public treasury, from May 29, 2015 to May 25, 2016. The disclosure was in fulfillment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s promise to make public the details of the cash recoveries on his first anniversary in office. The President had said, in his broadcast to the nation on the first anniversary, that the details would be provided by the Federal Ministry of Information. Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in a statement, also disclosed that Recoveries Under Interim Forfeiture (cash and assets) during the period totaled N126,563,481,095.43; $9,090,243,920.15; £2,484,447.55. According to the statement, said to have been based on the interim report on the financial and assets recoveries made by the various government agencies from May 29, 2015 to May 25, 2016, the Funds Awaiting Return From Foreign Jurisdictions totaled 321,316,726.1 Dollars; 6,900,000 Pounds Sterling and 11,826.11 Euros (Eleven thousand, eight hundred and twenty six Euros, 11 cents). It showed that Non-Cash Recoveries (Farmlands, Plots of Land, Uncompleted Buildings, Completed Buildings, Vehicles and Maritime Vessels) during the period total 239. Meanwhile, Sunday Vanguard has been made to understand that the reason why names of looters were not disclosed was because of the need to avoid the potential of truncating the cooperation that was already being enjoyed in the drive to recover looted funds – in the first instance – from some of those from whom funds are being recovered, just as the government did not want to jeopardize the willingness of others to return funds in their possession. MESSAGE:
 There is something unique about the words that Jesus spoke while here on earth. They carried unusual power.
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” - John 6:63
 During His earthly ministry, His words always led to supernatural miracles. The moment He spoke to His Father, His Father brought back to life everything that was already dead. Anytime Jesus taught, the power of His Father was always present to heal the people from sicknesses and infirmities.
 The God of miracles is the answer of all the impossibilities in your life. The moment you have faith in His Word, you can be sure it will be accorded to you as you have believed. Miracles are deliberate acts of God which He uses in beautifying the lives of His children. If you want to have access to your own miracle, you need to initiate it through faith. When you are connected to the God of miracles, you will begin to operate in the supernatural and command results in all you lay your hands upon. When you abide in Him and He abides in you, even the miracles you did not ask for will start to overtake you.
 God is committed to doing what you ask Him as long as you are rooted in Him. The moment you ask Him for a particular miracle, even if you ask for what is not available at that moment, He is committed to creating it for your sake. Nothing could withstand all the miracles Jesus asked for because He asked His Father with all authority and boldness. Whenever you please God and you live in obedience to His Word, you can come to Him boldly and lay your requests before Him. Boldness is a sign that you trust what He is capable of doing.
 As a child of destiny, you are designed to take charge and not allow the enemy to dominate you. Poverty and sickness should not have a place in your life because your Father is the Author of all miracles. I decree into your life today; the long awaited miracle which you have been expecting from the Lord shall be made manifest to you speedily in Jesus’ name. What must you do to maintain your status in the miraculous? You need to embrace a life of purity. Jesus had access to the miraculous because there was no sin in Him. You need to be consecrated to maintain your position in Christ. Never allow the bondage of this world to tie you down.
Action Point: Ask God for something big that will cause men to wonder.
