Nigerian comedian, Gordons has expressed his disappointment in 2face for
trying to lead the nationwide protest which was held yesterday.
In a brief interview with GoldMyneTV, the ace comedian said that 2face is not a politician but a musician who should have fought the government with his music and not a protest.
He explained that Legendary musicians like Fela, Osayomore Joseph, Sonny Okosun fought the government with the tools they were used to.
He said "2face is my mentor when it comes to music. He is one musician I adore, Legendary to me but you cannot use a tool that you are not used to. When Fela was fighting the government, he used a tool that he was used to. Osayomore Joseph fought government and used a tool that he was used to. Sonny Okosun before he died, he used a tool he was used to. How on earth will 2face be fighting a fight that he's not used to? 2face is not a politician, he's a musician. If you want to lead a protest, you should lead it with music"
"How are you going to express yourself 2face when microphone is right in your face and you are asked to express your grievance and the reason why you are protesting? You can’t express yourself, it’s not your game. Do it with music you are used to. 2face is the only illiterate who can sing correctly,” he added

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. Colossians 3:10
The new life we received from our Father is a very wonderful life. But this life is in our spirit and God does not want the life to only remain in our spirit, because It won't have any effect on the material world which we live in. We need to get the life of God in our mind/heart/soul which will enable it to have impact on the material world we live in. This is very important as we live out the new life we have in Christ Jesus.
So when scripture says put on the new man, it is means 'fill your heart/mind/soul with the new man.' The heart/mind/soul of man, before the man got born again, was filled with the image/character/attribute of the old man. And this image/character/attribute needs to be renewed to that of the new man so that the man who is now born again will act as the new man that he is. So we have to renew our minds. No wonder scriptures say in Ephesians 4:23 "and be renewed in the spirit Of your mind."
So the mind have to be renewed by knowledge after the image of him that created him (Colossians 3:10). That is, the mind has to be renewed according to the image and by the knowledge of Christ our Creator. So as we fill/clothe our minds with the knowledge of Christ, our mind is renewed to the image of God, and we can now have the character/attitude of God, thereby acting like Him in all ways. Cloth yourself with the image of the new man.
Keep winning daily.
Prayer:
Thank You Father for the new life You have given me, and for making me a new man, created in Christ Jesus. I fill my mind with your knowledge. My mind is transformed by Your knowledge into the new man that I am, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

'One Voice' = an official statement from the 2face Foundation
'One Voice' = an official statement from the 2face Foundation
On behalf of Innocent "2Baba" Idibia, we would like to apologize to the fans, colleagues and everyday Nigerians who feel let down by the cancellation of this protest. 2Baba's aim was to lend his voice to make the government aware of the growing discontent due to the wildly escalating cost of living for Nigerians in Nigeria among other issues.
Arguably one of the country's most influential musicians, he saw it fit to use his considerable platform; at the core of which are Nigerians, to amplify their voice. This is why he chose to march for the cause, and why he was so honoured when his industry colleagues pledged their support.
In line with the commitment of One Voice Nigeria to ensure a peaceful and impactful protest, The 2face Foundation and partners engaged with the security agencies to resolve all major security concerns but treacherous gaps remain that we are unwilling to ignore.
The risk of hijack by various political and sundry interests intent on using the platform to drive agendas that we as The 2face Foundation are not aligned with and therefore exposing protesters to high levels of danger is the main reason why 2baba regretfully had to withdraw himself from the march. He has refused to inadvertently present a platform for mischief makers to exploit.
2baba would like to express his great regret over these circumstances to everyone who feels disappointed. However, he hopes they will agree that as he said in the video announcing the development; ‘no protest is worthy he blood of any Nigerian’.
He would also like to thank everyone; both individuals, and bodies like EiE which offered their support to him, and applaud their devotion to the nation. The primary objective of the planned protest as stated from the very beginning was to aggregate the voices of the people and present to leadership at all levels who may be unclear about the reality of the hardship faced by Nigerians.
We have no doubt that we have articulated our demands and have been heard LOUD and CLEAR. We urge a quick and positive response from government and encourage Nigerians to take a cue from this experience and never hesitate to stand up to the leadership on any and every situation that requires action. 2baba will continue channel his passion for these issues using a range of effective channels in the future.
He promises to continue working on avenues to help the Nigerian people be heard, he feels that is the least they deserve. This statement from The 2face Foundation is endorsed by Innocent "2Baba" Idibia.

Our Daily Bread Devotional, February 5, 2017 - Begin Where You Are
Topic: Begin Where You Are [Sunday February 5, 2017]
Read: Psalm 136:1–9, Bible in a Year: Exodus 36–38; Matthew 23:1–22
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. - Psalm 19:1
I came across a solitary flower growing in a meadow today—a tiny purple blossom “wasting its sweetness in the desert air,” to borrow from the poet Thomas Gray’s wonderful line. I’m sure no one had seen this particular flower before, and perhaps no one will see it again. Why this beauty in this place? I thought.
Nature is never wasted. It daily displays the truth, goodness, and beauty of the One who brought it into being. Every day nature offers a new and fresh declaration of God’s glory. Do I see Him through that beauty, or do I merely glance at it and shrug it off in indifference?
All nature declares the beauty of the One who made it. Our response can be worship, adoration, and thanksgiving—for the radiance of a cornflower, the splendor of a morning sunrise, the symmetry of one particular tree.
Author C. S. Lewis describes a walk in the forest on a hot summer day. He had just asked his friend how best to cultivate a heart thankful toward God. His hiking companion turned to a nearby brook, splashed his face and hands in a little waterfall, and asked, “Why not begin with this?” Lewis said he learned a great principle in that moment: “Begin where you are.”
A trickling waterfall, the wind in the willows, a baby robin, the blue sky, a tiny flower. Why not begin your thankfulness with this?
Prayer: Father, may we always be reminded that You have placed beauty here because it reflects Your character. We praise You!
[God] is the beauty behind all beauty. Steve DeWitt
Insight:
This worship song praises the wonders of God’s creation and His providential intervention for His people. The repeating refrain is, “His love endures forever.” The list of items for which to thank God, our Creator, are vast and extensive: God is good (v. 1), He is over all other “gods” (v. 2), He is the Lord of lords (v. 3), God alone does great wonders (v. 4), God by His understanding made the heavens (v. 5), He placed the earth on the waters (v. 6), He made the great lights (v. 7), He made the sun to govern the day (v. 8), and He made the moon and stars to govern the night (v. 9). As we behold the wonders of nature, we marvel at their Creator.

Lagos police agrees on decision, to provide security for Feb 6th protest
The Lagos state police commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, has agreed to provide security for the February 6th protest that is slated to hold at the National Stadium, Lagos. After a meeting with the organizers of the rally, the Commissioner who spoke to newsmen said
“We had a meeting with the protesters and we explained to them why we advised against the protest. A pro-government group wants to protest that same day and we don’t want a situation where there would be friction.
We also don’t want hooligans to hijack the process and injure the protesters. After explaining to them, they said they will go back and discuss with others. They said if they decide to go ahead, they won’t demonstrate but would assemble at a point and read their demands. That notwithstanding, we have resolved to provide security for them. It is our responsibility and we won’t shy away from it. We will ensure trouble makers do not hijack the process.”

This is not the Nigeria I pray for where things are very cost. Opinions
With high sense of humility, I am not hating on President Buhari but I detest most of his approach towards governance. Why? I am deeply convince within me that he's not fully in charge of Nigeria. Therefore, if you are my friend and all you could think of is #iStandWithBuhari.. Even in the heat of awkward double increase in price of commodities, then you are nothing but a #Zombie. I don't blame you and I pray you have a rethink. Furthermore,

Emir pleads with Prof. Farooq Kperogi To Stop Criticizing Buhari, Nigerians React
Professor
Farooq Kperogi said he has received calls from many Nigerians including
his Emir to stop criticizing President Buhari.According to him,he can
not stop criticizing Buhari because he is incompetent and insensitive. He
wrote...
'Quit Asking Me to Take it Easy on Buhari
Over the last several hours, I have been inundated with a steady stream of impassioned pleas from many well-placed and not so well-placed Nigerians, including the emir of my hometown, to “please take it easy on Buhari.” I thought it was Buhari that should be pleaded with to take it easy on Nigerians so that I won’t have a reason to call him out on his incompetence and insensitivity. Believe you me, it’s no fun being openly critical of a person whose candidature I staked my reputation to promote, and in whom I invested enormous confidence and hope.

Romance: 7 Signs Your Girlfriend Is Taking Advantage Of You
Who do you love? When a man loves a girl, he would want to go over mountains and seas for
her. Some girls have discovered this and have positioned themselves to
take full advantage of it. Sadly, most guys are not aware of this. It
often takes another person to realize that the guy is being used. If you
are in a relationship, here are seven ways of discovering this for
yourself.
1. She does not take no for an answer:
If your girlfriend likes to have her way at all times, it is a sign that she is emotionally blackmailing you. She has studied you and come to realize that you love her. This is now her bargaining weapon. If you have an argument, she would do all she can for you to concede. If that fails, she will resort to tears because she knows it will break you.

'I only did my part [in making her famous' - Ray J speaks on his sex tape with Kim K again
Ray J's new interview with Heat magazine is causing a whole new kind of storm online. In the interview, he tried to avoid talking about his infamous sex tape Kim Kardashian but couldn't resist the urge and said:
“I only did my part in making her famous'.
When asked if the reality star was obsessed with fame, he replied saying:
“As a man, I tried to play my part in the situation. If you’re intelligent, you can read between the lines.”
He also referred to Kris Jenner as a “real, true hustler,” which has fans questioning if that means she ‘hustled’ her family into fame by leaking the sex tape.

Kenneth Copeland’s daily devotional February 1, 2017 - Hit Him With the Rock
Kenneth Copeland’s daily devotional February 1, 2017 - Hit Him With the Rock
Topic: Hit Him With the Rock [Wednesday February 1, 2017]
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. - Psalm 23:1-2
Have you ever thought about David and wondered how a shepherd boy could become a man after God's own heart—a man so strong in spirit that God chose him to be king of Israel? I have.
In fact, I asked God about it, and He showed me that revelation was what turned David into such a spiritual powerhouse—revelation that came to him through hours of thinking about the things of God. I imagine the day he wrote Psalm 23 he was just sitting and singing praises to God and meditating on His goodness. Just fellowshipping with Him when suddenly the anointing of the Lord came upon him and he said, "The Lord is my Shepherd!"
Suddenly he thought about the sheep he watched over as a boy, I faced death for those sheep. I led them where pastures were green and waters were cool, clean, deep, and peaceful. He kept on meditating on that until it started to thrill him. When the lion and the bear came, didn't He prepare a table before me in the presence of those enemies? He gave me victory. My God! My God will fight for me. The Lord is my Shepherd! I shall not want!
That revelation welled up in David so strong that the devil couldn't beat it out of him. So when Goliath tried to make a fool out of Israel, David went after him. Goliath was able to scare off everyone else, but he couldn't shake David because he had a revelation inside him that said, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for my God is with me. That revelation enabled David to say, "I come against you in the name of the Lord of Hosts" and to send a rock sailing into that giant's brain.
Is the devil out to destroy you? Do what David did. Meditate on God and His Word. Sing praises to your King. Fellowship with Him until the revelation of who He is in you starts to thrill your soul. Then tell the devil, "You're not going to kill me. The Lord is my Shepherd!" Hit him with the rock of revelation knowledge, and you'll knock him flat every time.
Scripture Reading: Psalm 23

THE TRAVAILS OF APOSTLE JOHNSON SULEMAN AND THE INCITING WORDS OF THE SULTAN OF SOKOTO (PART 1)
Nothing sums up the dangerous way in which the DSS is handling the
Apostle Johnson Suleman affair better than the words of the Southern
Kaduna-based Pastor Owojaye Matthew. He said,
"you want to arrest Christian clergymen who asked Christians to defend themselves against killer FULANI Herdsmen while you allow hundreds of foreign FULANI herdsmen invading Nigeria to kill and maim CHRISTIANS and take over their lands! DSS, tread softly! Do not play into the hands of chaos! We are waiting for DSS to arrest the kill and go FULANI herdsmen!"
The Buhari administration is literally playing Russian roullete with this matter. They are playing with fire and it may well end up burning them badly and consumming the whole of Nigeria. They are sitting on a keg of gunpowder and it may well end up blowing up in their faces.
Owojaiye's point is as pertinent as it is clear. His counsel to the DSS is unassailable and timely.
They would do well to take his advice, leave Suleman alone and, instead of harrasing him, go after those who commit mass murder, ethnic cleansing and genocide against northern Christians at the drop of a hat and those who encourage, incite and pay them to do it.

THE TRAVAILS OF APOSTLE JOHNSON SULEMAN AND THE INCITING WORDS OF THE SULTAN OF SOKOTO (Part 2)
President Donald J. Trump summed it up rather well when he said, in
reference to the Islamist terrorists and those that derive joy from
committing genocide against Christians, that
"They are sneaky dirty rats. They blow up people in a shopping centres and they blow up people in a church".
He went on to say, "We are fighting sneaky rats right now that are sick and demented. And we are going to win.”
Finally he said, "The execution of Christians is no longer acceptable."
How right President Trump is. I thank God for his life every day. With him as leader of the free world, win we shall.
Yet sadly our Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, who is undoubtedly a fine gentleman and who is a practising Pentecostal Christian, appears to be helpless and has done absolutely nothing to help and protect his own from the 'sneaky dirty rats'.
Clearly he has no power and he does not have the disposition or the political will and clout to take a stand against this great evil.

2face is never concerned about people, he's just concerned about himself - Blackface
A few hours ago, Blackface renewed his bitter rivalry with 2face Idibia when he re-posted a lengthy piece titled 'Let us educate the illiterate' on his Instagram page targeting 2face Idibia and the planned protest on February 5, 5017. Read here
With this, LIB exclusively reached out to Blackface who defended his action saying, 'I don't think they should be thinking of a protest because we just got out from a crazy time, and the government is trying to fix the country. It's time to support the government and see what we can do for the country and not protest. They have been there for smaller amount of time and expect them to do miracles'. Read the rest of the exclusive interview after the cut....
LIB: Don't you think the present government has subjected several citizens to hardship?
This government? Have they forgotten there was a government before this present administration. If somebody has Pneumonia, you would forget the time the person was in cold. Just for us to be factual, what is he protesting about? I think he should do better things than protesting. He should protest with his music, if I should advice him kindly. Has he protested for his Local government in his state? They say charity begins at home.
LIB: So you think the protest is meaningless?
I think its a waste of time.
LIB: Do you think the government has really done well?
We can't start asking this government if they have down well, they just started. PDP was there for about fifteen years. Did they come out to protest why there was no constant electricity?, Why was the National Stadium being used for unnecessary occasions? Why were people doing things against the law? so Why didn't they protest?
LIB: In the post you shared, 2face was described as an illiterate for his move to protest against the government, don't you think that was harsh?
I'm not the one who wrote the article, but there are things he shouldn't go into because he doesn't know anything about it.
LIB: So why did you repost it?
I had to because people have to read what the person's opinion is all about. This person thinks like this. You (2face) don't think similar and I think a lot of people feel this same way too. Has Fela ever called people out to come out a protest against the government? You(2face) calling people out? You (2face) know what you have done to people and now you are calling them out, he must be joking. He is never concerned about collective people, he is just concerned about himself. He can't just be mobilizing people, nah nah nah, that is a fraud.
LIB: What is your reaction to the Professor that called out 2face over his Protest against the Govt?
A professor, you mean a professor called him out and you think he is daft? We need to call a spade a spade. I know you guys are going write a lot of negative stuff about me that I said he shouldn't lead such protest. But what am saying is that nobody should use the manipulative mind to tell people to come out for something that is not worth it. That is wrong.
LIB: Don't you think 2face is a leader in the society and will be able to convince the government with the protest?
Let me tell you something. Does 2face Idibia have a fruitful foundation? No, Does 2face Idibia have anything that has to do with Benue State? No! Let me tell you something now. Emma Ugolee is in the hospital. If somebody is a front runner what is he supposed to do? 2face is supposed to be able to mobilize people to figure out a way to raise money for Ugolee 's hospital's bill. If I want to do that, the radio and TV are not going to listen to me. You guys have to come out straight. I don't know what will happen after it but we don't have to do no protest. Let us get our mind straight, they should stop that and stop manipulating people's mind.

Donald Trump has fired the acting US attorney general
Donald Trump has fired the acting US attorney general, after she questioned the legality of his immigration ban.
Sally Yates, who had been appointed under Barack Obama, earlier ordered justice department lawyers not to enforce the president's executive order.
In a statement, the White House said Ms Yates had "betrayed" the department.
Dana Boente, US attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, replaces her as acting attorney general.
Mr Trump's order temporarily banned nationals from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US, and sparked street protests in the US and abroad.

#ThisIsNotMuslimBan.. US President Donald Trump has defended his executive order
US President Donald Trump has defended his executive order ban on seven Islamic countries, saying it isn't a 'Muslim ban', rather an 'extreme vetting' . In a White House statement on Saturday afternoon, he said:
'My policy is similar to what President Obama did in 2011 when he banned visas for refugees from Iraq for six months,' Trump said of his own order, which is slated to expire in 90 days. Obama's directive, carried out in response to a specific terror threat, affected only refugees.
He added that the seven countries– Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia Sudan, Syria and Yemen – 'are the same countries previously identified by the Obama administration as sources of terror.' He continued..
'To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting. This is not about religion – this is about terror and keeping our country safe. There are over 40 different countries worldwide that are majority Muslim that are not affected by this order.'
'What people need to understand is that 325,000 foreign travelers came into the United States.' 'About 109 of those people were retained – detained for further questioning because they came from the identified seven countries that the Obama administration and both houses of Congress have identified as being countries that harbor and train terrorists.'

Mark Zuckerberg criticize President Trump on immigration
Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg expressed concern on Friday over Trump's latest executive orders on immigration and refugees.
"My great grandparents came from Germany, Austria and Poland. Priscilla's parents were refugees from China and Vietnam. The United States is a nation of immigrants, and we should be proud of that. Like many of you, I'm concerned about the impact of the recent executive orders signed by President Trump" Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post, which cited his family's immigrant background and his volunteer work with undocumented schoolchildren.
"We should also keep our doors open to refugees and those who need help. That's who we are. Had we turned away refugees a few decades ago, Priscilla's family wouldn't be here today" Zuckerberg wrote.
On Friday, Trump signed an executive order calling for "extreme vetting" of refugees, following through on promises on the campaign trail.
