Los Angeles - Bryan Singer is reportedly expecting his first child through a surrogate mother.

The X-Men director is said to be paying his close friend Michelle Clunie $1m to deliver his first child, which is due to be born in December.

A source told RadarOnline: "She's very pregnant, she looks like she swallowed a basketball!"

The 49-year-old star is set to welcome his first child later this year, and has even bought a house located three doors down from his abode especially for the expectant surrogate.

Bryan is thought to be over-the-moon with the news that he is set to become a father and has reportedly already been splashing the cash on plenty of items for the baby.

Aside from the hefty payment Michelle will be receiving, she seems to be over the moon about the pregnancy as well, taking to her Twitter account onThursday morning to share her excitement of becoming a mother.

Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary said a man he identified as Dominic Adesanya of Bel Air, Maryland, climbed the north fence line at about 7:16 p.m. and was taken into custody immediately by uniformed agents and K-9 teams that constantly patrol the grounds.

A 23-year-old Maryland man is in custody after he climbed over the White House fence Wednesday night and was swiftly apprehended on the North Lawn by uniformed Secret Service agents and their dogs.

The incident came about a month after a previous White House fence jumper carrying a knife sprinted across the same lawn, past armed uniformed agents and entered the mansion before he was felled in the ceremonial East Room and taken into custody.

At last, President Goodluck Jonathan has succumbed to pressure to contest the 2015 presidential election.

Prompt News gathered that the President held a meeting with some Peoples Democratic Party chieftains at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday, during which he told them that he would seek re-election.

He was also said to have assured them that he would obtain the nomination form before the deadline set by the party leadership.

President Jonathan is thus expected to make formal declaration between November 7 and 15, 2014.

Sequel to this, the meeting constituted a high powered Presidential Declaration Committee to plan a befitting declaration event.

President Jonathan Leaves for Pilgrimage to Israel

President Goodluck Jonathan will on Friday depart Lagos on a brief pilgrimage to Israel, his office said in a statement on Thursday.

The statement issued in Abuja by Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, said that Jonathan would visit Christian Holy sites during the pilgrimage.

Policeman Assaults 25-Year Old Banker For Urinating Beside bank

There was confusion on the premises of Stanbic IBTC in the Ifo area of Ogun State after a banker, Mr. Ogidan Bolaji, was hit with the butt of a gun by a police officer identified as Kayode Ojo, leaving the 25-year-old victim with a deep cut on his face.

The matter, which was said to have been reported at the Sango Police Station, was however, said to have been dismissed by the police authorities.

Bolaji, an indigene of Ewekoro area of the state, said he wanted justice in the matter.

He said he had alighted from his car to make withdrawal from the bank’s ATM when he decided to ease himself.

Dumped Woman spends 1week eating chicken wings at fastfood (PHOTOS)

How do you cope with a breakup? This Chinese woman spent an entire week in a KFC eating fried chicken wings after being dumped by her boyfriend because she ‘needed time to think’. Lovesick Tan Shen, 26, went to the fast food chain in search of some comfort food to get over the break-up.
But seven days later Tan was still ordering chicken wings with a side of extra large fries at the KFC near a train station by her home.

Tan said:

‘I was walking around feeling miserable and decided to stop off at the KFC at the train station.I hadn’t planned on staying there long, I just wanted some chicken wings.But once I got in there and started eating I decided I needed time to think.I  didn’t want to go back to my apartment because it was full of memories of him. So I stayed.’

A couple of weeks ago D’Banj was at the TEDxWBG conference to deliver a speech where he shared the stage with President of the World Bank – Jim Yong Kim and Eleni Gabre-Madhin, the Co-founder and CEO of Eleni LLC.

The Nigerian artiste delivered quite a motivational speech on change and the future of African youths. The video for the speech is finally available and we can’t wait to share it with our BN readers.

Prostitutes in Abuja get 48-hour ultimatum to leave the city

Abuja prostitutes have been given a 48-hour ultimatum to leave the capital city, while their customers have also been threatened with the death sentence.
The ultimatum was made by the Secretary for Social Development, Mrs. Blessing Onuh after an official visit to locations where prostitutes carry out their activities in the Federal Capital Territory.
Onuh warned that severe measures had been lined up for sex hawkers, after security agencies combed several red-light districts and made series of arrests.
She bemoaned the menace of prostitution in the state, saying that Abuja’s powerful men are their regular customers.

Nigeria 2-1 South Africa: Super Falcons through to the African Women's Championship final

Nigeria's Super Falcons have qualified for the finals of the African Women's Championship after beating South Africa 2-1 in their semifinal game played at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, Namibia.

The Super Falcons with their victory over South Africa, became the first African team to qualify for next year's FIFA Women's World Cup tournament taking place in China.

It was some revenge of sort for the Nigerian girls, who atoned for their loss to the Bayana Bayana two years ago in the AWC, at this same stage of the competition.
