D'banj & Bobby Shriver share lunch in Santa Monica |
Skibanj is doing it big...
Popular Nigerian artist D'banj has finally met with his lifetime mentor, Bobby Shriver;
an activist, attorney, journalist and a member of the Kennedy Family as
well as one time Mayor in the Santa Monica City council, California.
The singer, who is currently in USA to promote the Year of Agriculture campaign in partnership with the One Campaign Organization, reportedly paid a visit to Shriver's home after attending the just ended African Leaders Summit in Washington DC.
D'banj
has reportedly been making strong contacts both in US and globally all
in the effort of fighting for Africa. His rep says, "D'banj is not only
re-inventing his music but also making a strong impact in Africa and the
world in general."
According to reports, the DB Records boss also endorsed The Red Manifesto, a brand licensing company that raises money for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. RED was created back in 2006 by Bobby Shriver and U2 lead singer BONO.
As if that's not all, Banga Lee also endorsed his friend and mentor, Shriver as Los Angeles County Supervisor.
