The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has shifted to April 27, the three-week Batch A Orientation course earlier scheduled to start on March 30.
Abosede Aderibigbe, NYSC’s director of press and public relations, made the confirmation while responding to an inquiry by TheCable.
Aderibigbe did not state any reason for the shift, but apologised to the prospective corps members over any inconvenience that the development could create.
“We wish to confirm the shift in date for the commencement of the 2016 Batch ‘A’ Orientation course,” she said.
The new time-table for the course is as follows:
Stream I
Commencement: Wednesday, 27th April, 2016
Swearing-in ceremony: Friday, 29th April, 2016, Close of Camp: Friday, 13th May, 2016
Stream II
Commencement: Saturday, 21st May, 2016 Swearing-in ceremony: Monday, 23rd May, 2016
Close of Camp: Monday, 6th June, 2016.
