Girls of Today No Longer have Respect –Singer Tosin Martins

I’v complained about this negative trend severally, and the worst from my observation are Yoruba and Igbo girls. Many of them are so arrogant they find it difficult to even say good morning to a man. How sad!
Anyway, another Yoruba guy has waded into the issue. Popular Gospel musician, Tosin Martins complained that the ladies we have today are not as submissive as our mothers and it’s quite worrisome. He cited some examples that he thinks make these women proud and the reasons they have not been submissive to their husbands.

Leaked Video Shows NFL Star Ray Rice Punching Wife in Elevator

Leaked footage of Baltimore Ravens football player, Ray Rice punching his wife in an elevator, has been posted online.
In the video, Rice is shown punching Janay Palmer, his then fiancee, in the face twice, knocking her out. He then drags her unconscious body out of the elevator.
The incident took place in an elevator at Revel Hotel in Atlantic City on February 15th this year, The Independent reports.
As a result of the incident, the National Football League (NFL) declared a two-match ban for Rice for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
The ban was announced on July 24th.
According to reports, NFL authorities saw an earlier abridged version of the video months ago, which did not show the full extent of the violence displayed in the currently leaked full-length video.
With the release of this new video, many have condemned the NFL, stating that a more severe punishment should have been given to him.
According to reports, Rice and Palmer got married just one month after the assault.

Here’s a video of the incident:

In case Tambuwal joins APC...

SPEAKER, House of Representatives, Honourable Aminu Tambuwal, served as the Deputy Chief Whip of the House in the Sixth Assembly, while his deputy, Honourable Emeka Ihedioha, was the Chief Whip. But, their election as Speaker and deputy Speaker in the current Seventh Assembly session raised dust within their party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as both of them emerged as leaders against the zoning formula of the PDP, which gave the position of Speaker to the South-West and the current House Leader, Honourable Mulikat Akande-Adeola, was nominated, as the annointed candidate of the party for the plum position.

The emergence of the duo as the leaders of the House did not go well with the party’s leadership to the extent that, at a point, Tambuwal and Ihedioha had to pay a courtesy call to the leadership of the PDP to plead their case. However, relationship between the Speaker and the ruling party appears frosty, while his deputy has been able to worm his way back to the heart of the party or so it appears now.

On Tambuwal’s part, he has been linked with the All Progressives Congress (APC). It will be recalled that the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) that merged with other opposition parties to form the APC played key role in the emergence of Tambuwal as Speaker.

So sad! Baby Miracle Ibiam passes away

Such sad and heartbreaking news. After two years and three months, Baby Miracle Ibiam has lost his battle to Hydrocephalus. For those who don’t remember him, Ndubuisi Nwachukwu Ibiam, known as Baby Miracle was born with Hydrocephalus, which is a defect that affects ability of the brain to clear excess fluids so the fluid accumulates therefore leading to that expansion. We tried to raise money for him back in 2013 miracle-ibiam-needs.html” target=”_blank”>here
Unfortunately he has passed away. He died on Saturday morning September 6th while in his mother’s arms. Baby Miracle was born 28th of June 2012. Guess he’s too good for this world. Sleep with the angels little one.

Ikimi, Ribadu and Politics of Defection

by Theophilus Ilevbare
In recent weeks the All Progressive Congress(APC) has been rocked with a tidal wave of defection of a founding member in Chief Tom Ikimi and the party’s 2011 presidential candidate, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to the party Nigerians loathe but can’t vote out of power at the centre, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). Ikimi’s grievance with the APC hierarchy stems from how he was barred from contesting the party’s chairmanship position.
The ease with which politicians decamp and recamp(return to a party one has left in the past) – the latest addition to Nigeria’s political lexicon – erodes any shadow of doubt if any ideological basis exists for much of what goes on in Nigeria’s political landscape. Defection has become the trade in stock of many politicians who have found such canvassing phrases as “there is no party that is exclusively for the good people or for the bad people,” reminding us of the sameness of the two major political parties as basis for cross carpeting.

Close observers of unfolding political events were not jolted by Chief Ikimi’s official resignation of his membership of the APC, after many weeks of withdrawal from party activities without disclosing his next political destination. His antecedents have shown he has no particular conviction.

EFCC declares Bauchi gubernatorial aspirant wanted for $500k scam

Find the EFCC Press release below
A gubernatorial aspirant in Bauchi State, Abdulahi Usman Adamu, alias Dan China (pictured on the left), has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The politician cum miner is wanted by the anti-graft agency for allegedly obtaining the sum of $ 500,000 USD (Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) from a Chinese Company, Shengjia International (HK) Limited, by false pretence. The suspect allegedly obtained the sum from the Chinese firm as part payment for the supply of 3000MT of Lead Ore, a contract he failed to execute. Continue…

Following a petition by the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, the EFCC invited the suspect for questioning but he failed to honour the invitation. The suspect is currently on the run as efforts to track him, including several visits to his home in Narabi, Bauchi, proved futile.
Consequently, the Commission enjoins any one with useful information on his whereabouts to contact its head office inWuse 2, Abuja or zonal offices in Gombe, Kano, Enugu, Port Harcourt and Lagos; or the nearest police station.
His last known address is No. 1 Sabon Gari, Narabi, in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi state.
In the same vein, a banker, Godswill Oyegwa Oyoyou pictured right, an Information Technology staff of a new generation bank is also wanted by the EFCC in a case of fraud involving N6.28billion. The 38-year- old is from Isoko South local government area of Delta State.

Is Scotland On the Brink of Splitting Up With Britain?

A referendum which will become due on the 18th of this month will decide, based on Yes/No votes, if Scotland becomes a nation independent of the UK.

There are fears of course, mirrored in a fraction of the world - Nigeria - where a similar 'divorce' was recently attempted in the famous Biafra war.

However, that isn't the major issue right now. While Alex Salmond believes it is possible to separate Scotland from the UK with not much drama, others (who lean heavily on history and its habit of repeating itself) believe that a majority 'Yes' vote will not be enough to grant Scotland its independence.

There is the issue of economic infrastructure (spiraling into billions of dollars) required to support the newly-independent Scotland (if the referendum sails through.)

Several believe it would severely affect the strength of the British Empire and that it is in everybody's best interest if Britain and Scotland remain a single entity.

APC in Disarray as Key Leaders Leave in Droves

Unless it does something drastic, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nigeria’s main opposition party, may implode before the 2015 general election, which are only six months away, PREMIUM TIMES’ extensive analysis of the situation within the party has shown.

The party, which is barely one year old, has found it extremely difficult to halt the exit of key members in rapid succession to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and also to resolve internal disputes within its state chapters, which have festered for months.

PREMIUM TIMES checks showed that in the last eight months, no fewer than seven key members of the Joint Inter-Merger Committee, JIMC, the central body that supervised the fusion of some hitherto opposition parties, have left the party, either due to irreconcilable differences with fellow leaders or to pursue other political ambitions.

Borno: Military Recaptures Bama Town After 7 Days of Boko Haram Control

Vanguard reports that the Nigerian military has recovered Bama town from under the control of the Boko Haram terrorists in Borno state.

Below is an excerpt of the story:

"The Boko Haram insurgents that had taken over Bama town last Monday in Borno state; have Saturday night; fully retreated from the strategic reclaimed town; as fierce aerial bombardments by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets, Military sources confirmed Sunday in Maiduguri, the state capital.

One of the sources said that the aerial bombardments to knockout Boko Haram’s weapon installations in the border town had recently overrun; adding that; “our tactical aerial attacks to reclaim this town had been effective and yielding the desired results. This will enable the fleeing residents and villagers to return within the shortest period of time.”

“But the weekend battle however took a heavy toll on civilian lives and property as the insurgents were said to be embedded with residents, allegedly used as human shields if the military launches any attack on the occupied town,” said Mustapha Modu, now taking refuge in Maiduguri."

Must Read: 10 SEX Moves Every Woman Craves In Bed [18+]

by Bethany Heithman

10. Give her breasts more attention
Lots of guys pamper a woman’s breasts during foreplay but forget about them during the main event, which is a shame because the extra stimulation can lead to a bigger orgasm for her. Plus, it’s important to pay attention to more than just her nipples, since her entire breast is packed with nerves, especially the underside. When she’s on top, use your fingertips to draw wide, slow circles, starting around the perimeter of one breast and spiraling in until you’re just about at her nipple. Then use your hand to cup and lift the underside of her breast, and lick around her nipple before covering it entirely with your mouth and sucking gently.
9. Give her a G-Spot orgasm
8. Surprise her with a quickie
When you jump her out of the blue, it makes her feel like she’s so irresistible that you simply can’t wait to have her. Right when she gets home, pull her in for a deep kiss to get her going. Relieve her of any bags she’s carrying and lead her to the couch, bed, or kitchen table, where you will have already stashed a bottle of lube nearby. Don’t totally undress her; just lift up her skirt or pull down her pants. Then use your lubed fingers to massage her clitoris while whispering how hot she is in her ear. The more aroused you are, the faster she’ll get into it. (Of course, there will be times when she’s not game. If that happens, let it go and try another night.)
7. Gently pull her hair
There are thousands of nerves in the scalp, and when she’s aroused, they’re more sensitive, so pulling on her tresses feels extra stimulating. But there’s a catch: If you do it while you’re having sex with her from behind, it’ll make her feel like you’re treating her like a hooker. Instead, while she’s on top, run your hand through her hair, grab a handful of strands close to her scalp, and give it a little pull. This works especially well when you’re having intense, passionate sex, because grabbing her anywhere, especially somewhere sensitive, adds to the feeling that she’s being ravished. Continue

Uganda Expresses Fears Over Boom in Children Being Adopted Overseas

Where do you stand over children being adopted out of their country, especially if they are adopted by parents of a different race? Does it matter? I had expressed the desire to adopt from Nigeria, but you’ll be surprised how complicated the whole process is. I salute parents who adopt, irrespective of where they choose to do it, but this article has got me thinking
Authorities in Uganda have raised fears that the country’s children are being left vulnerable to abuse and exploitation by a staggering increase in unchecked overseas adoptions.
An official report, details of which were published on Tuesday by a local newspaper, said a boom in what it called the “international adoption industry” had led to some children who were not even orphans being taken into care for adoption or child sponsorship schemes.
The report also said there was no system for the government to track adoptions, leaving children at risk of being kidnapped or trafficked.
“There is no assurance that their fundamental rights have been respected and thus abduction, sale or trafficking of children cannot be ruled out,” the paper quoted Uganda’s Auditor General John Muwanga as saying.
Uganda, one of the world’s poorest countries, is home to approximately 2.4 million orphans, about half of whom lost their parents to HIV/AIDS. A source in Uganda’s Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, confirmed that there had been an estimated 400 per cent increase in adoptions from 2006 to 2013.

Shekau Hijacked Boko Haram From its Original Leader- Australian Negotiator

Australian negotiator, Dr. Stephen Davis, has made another revelation.

In an interview with the Vanguard at the weekend, Davis said Abubakar Shekau hijacked the Islamist Boko Haram Group from its former leader Yusuf.

“The Boko Haram we see today is not the Jama’atu Ahlul Sunnah Lih Da’awa wal Jihad (JAS) that was operational under Yusuf – former JAS leader killed by the police in 2009”

He said Shekau formed Ansaru which he used for kidnapping and beheading victims, a major departure from the original mandate of the JAS which was to purify Islam and return it to the exemplary life of the Prophet.

“Many among the JAS leadership are no longer active and others have been killed. This has allowed Shekau to take the JAS to a more extreme action and expand the frontiers of kidnapping, bombing and slaughtering.

“The Boko Haram we have today is a much expanded Ansaru. What we see now is not the Yusufiya which wanted very much to settle a score with former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff. It is Boko Haram as a partner to ISIS and Al Shabaab.”

Davis admitted that he came to Nigeria in April to facilitate the release of the Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram, but denied that he was engaged by any party and therefore had no obligation to report to anyone.

Three reasons why Nigeria lost to Congo

Nigeria's loss to Congo on Saturday was a culmination of problems the country has failed to find solutions to for a long time now.

It was never in the offing that Congo would come to Nigeria and beat the Super Eagles,at best nobody saw it coming, because the last time they even defeated the Nigerians was in 1970.

But Nigerians were treated to that unsavoury taste when the Congolese stunned everyone to record a hugely impressive win in Calabar.

The general belief was that Nigeria would always find their way to navigate through any turbulence if the sea at any time becomes stormy, however "the Super Eagles were asleep in the boat and it ended up engulfing them."

Adultery Not Anita Oyakhilome’s Ground for Divorce, Court Papers Show

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
Facts have emerged at the weekend that the ground on which Pastor Anita Oyakhilome is seeking to divorce her husband, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the President of Believers’ Love World Inc., popularly known as Christ Embassy, is not adultery but on behaviours that suggest that she cannot ‘reasonably be expected’ to  live with him.

There had been media reports that Anita decided to divorce Pastor Chris based on allegations of ‘adultery’ and ‘unreasonable behaviours’ but a copy of the  court papers for the divorce process filed at the  Principal Registry of the Family Division (PRFD) of  the High Court of Justice in possession of THISDAY,  revealed that she applied for “divorce on the ground that the marriage has broken down irretrievably.”
In her statement of case in support of petition at PRFD with number FD14001650, Pastor Anita however, accused her husband of having inappropriate relationship with some of his female staff members.

Police Officer Investigated For Taking Selfies With Suicide Victim About to Jump From Bridge

A policeman who is supposed to be on duty was busy taking a SELFIE as a man prepared to jump to his death from a bridge.
During the desperate man’s final moments, the selfie-obsessed cop is seen posing for snapshot just feet away.
The clearly distressed man is caught in the background of the sick shot, clinging to the bridge in the Turkish capital Istanbul.
Just seconds later he leapt almost 600ft to his death, after attempts by other officers to talk him down failed.
But a picture of the policeman’s heartless selfie has sparked fury in Turkey, and the officer in question now faces an investigation.

The man who jumped from the bridge was later named as Sadrettin Saskın.
The 35-year-old was said to have been struggling with money problems.
Police spokesman Maksud Calik: “It was his third suicide attempt. Highly trained negotiators were trying to talk him into coming back onto the bridge when he suddenly let go and fell.”
But critics say the sight of a uniformed officer in high-visibility gear talking selfies with him as the background could have pushed him over the edge.
“It was at best insensitive and at worst criminally negligent,” said one social media commentator.
Police spokesman Calik said: “A full investigation into the officer’s conduct is ongoing. Any breach of duty identified will be disciplined.”

“I am not gay” – Mr Universe Nigeria says

g

In an interview with The Nation, current Mr Universe Nigeria, Francis Egwuatu, said that because he went for a male pageant doesn’t mean he’s gay… People find it attractive calling male celebrities names

“I am not gay, and it is very annoying when people make such comments. There was this girl that added me on twitter. She was like; ‘Tell me the truth, are you gay?’ It was so annoying. Some people think that for you to win the pageant you must be gay and men must sleep with you and all, but that’s not true. I just wish I could do a story and the heading will just be ‘I am not gay’. People have concluded in their mind that we are gays. Even when I was profiled on Linda Ikeji’s blog, there were comments like, gay alert; the guy is gay and all that. People feel if you are a male pageant contestant, the only hard work you need to do is to sleep in the room. That’s a negative thought, but I believe a person with a positive thought won’t think like that. For me, you just have to be positive; you just have to believe in yourself. I have gone for pageants that I lost (Mr. Tourism Nigeria), but that didn’t stop me from going for more.
What does he think of gays? Find his answer after the cut…

Top 10 Signs He’s Not Ready for Marriage

by Clint Carter
I have a few buddies—married men, now—who used to drink and sleep around like you wouldn’t believe. In college, their dorm rooms smelled like gym shorts and beer cans. If I’d given it any thought at all (which, I admit, I didn’t), I would have sworn they’d never get married, or at the very least, that they’d be the last of our group to pop the question.
But over the last few years, I’ve seen these knuckleheads change from keg-stand champions to husbands and—gulp—even fathers, because at some point, something changed in them. And that’s a common story with guys: We never seem ready to settle down until, well, we are.
Knowing these guys through their philandering years and into matrimonial bliss has helped me recognize some of the ways guys change when they start to think long-term about relationships. So if you’re wondering whether a guy sees himself as serially single or ready to lock it down, here are a few of the telltale signs he’s not ready for the ring:

“I wasn’t hired by Nigerian Govt” hostage negotiator Stephen Davis allegedly says

Australian hostage negotiator Stephen Davis who has been widely described as a man hired by the Nigerian government to negotiate with Boko Haram in an effort to help free the Chibok girls, has allegedly said he was not in Nigeria (for four months) at the request of the federal government.
In an interview with Soni Daniel, which was published on negotiator-stephen-davis/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter” target=”_blank”>Vanguard today, Stephen allegedly said he was never engaged by the Nigerian government to dialogue with the sect.

“I was not engaged by the Federal Government of Nigeria, any state government or any other party. I went to Nigeria in late April in an effort to facilitate a handover of the Chibok captives after discussing such a possibility with former commanders of JAS (Jama’atu Ahlul Sunnah Lih Da’awa wal Jihad otherwise known as JAS) and others close to Boko Haram. Why did you release the report of your assignment to the media instead of sending it to government? I did not construct a report of my efforts in Nigeria. As I said earlier, I was not engaged by any party and therefore had no obligation to report to anyone.” Continue…

Lagos Archbishop Okogie Slams Chris & Anita: Are they Living by What They Preach?

Catholic Archbishop Emeritus of Lagos, Anthony Cardinal Okogie, has described the developments in the home of Pastor Chris and Anita Oyakhilome as very disturbing, arguing that when ministers of God begin to wash their dirty linen in the public, it smacks of indiscipline. The ecclesiastical prince of the Catholic Church wondered what Pastors expect from their members when they themselves refuse to honour the vows they took at the altar of God?
In his words: “When the going was good, they took vows on the altar of God to stay together in sickness and in health, until death do them part. They promise to make one another faithful partner in the presence of God, their family and friends and vow to be each other’s faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. They promise to love one another unconditionally, to support each other, honor and respect and cherish themselves for as long as they both shall live.”
