Bomb Blast:10 soldiers, 35 hunters killed in road explosion in Adamawa

Information reaching is that : No fewer than10 soldiers and 35 hunters were this evening 6pm killed after a bomb planted along the Mararaba road near Mubi in Adamawa state went off. The soldiers and hunters were on a routine patrol of the area around 6pm when the bomb went off. It killed the soldiers and the hunters instantly

A senior security officer who confirmed the report to Sahara Reporters, said the military was aware of the attack but is not yet certain on the number of casualties.

Senate responds to corruption allegations by Fmr Pres. Obasanjo

The war of words between OBJ and Senate could not as the Upper house has reacted to the corruption allegations leveled against it by the former Pres. Olusegun Obasanjo while at a book launch yesterday in Abuja. In a statement released and signed by its spokesman, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe today, the senate frowned at the allegations that they used their oversight function to extort money, stating that the oversight functions of the senate was the initiative of the former president. The statement reads in part;

"Ex- President Obasanjo for the avoidance of doubt, was the initiator of the constituency project in the year 2000 as a means of ensuring that projects were fairly spread across the country using the Senatorial zones as the spring board.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba refused to recognize Mr. Aminu Tambuwal as speaker of the House of Representatives.
Abba simply addressed Mr. Tambuwal as "Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal," a title that offended members of the House Committee on Police Affairs.

Abba said that it would be 'subjudice' for him to address Tambuwal as speaker for as long as the matter was in court.
Punch reports:
Chairman of the House committee, Mr. Usman Bello-Kurmo, asked him a direct question, “Is Aminu Waziri-Tambuwal the Speaker of the House of Representatives or not?”

The IG replied, “Mr. Chairman, you know that matters before the courts are subjudice.
“Commenting on them is subjudice until they are disposed of.”
The response brought the session between Abba and the committee to an abrupt end, as the two parties stormed out of the venue.

Painful exit! As to hear that this guy finally died. Been following his progress since yesterday. Australian Cricketer Philip Hughes has died two days after a ball hit him in the neck during a match between his team and South wales at the Sydney Cricket Ground on 25 November 2014.

Though he was wearing a helmet at the time of the freak accident, Philip collapsed and was rushed to St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney where he underwent surgery and was placed into an induced coma. He died this morning from his injuries. He was 25 years old. May his soul rest in peace, amen.

Two men are being accused of allegedly plotting to murder Ferguson's Chief of Police Tom Jackson and St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Brandon Orlando Baldwin and Olajuwon Ali Davis (pictured above) allegedly purchased a fake pipe bomb and were trying to purchase two bombs when they were discovered. The bomb which was meant to be placed at the St. Louis' Gateway Arch had been targeted at the two Ferguson officials for their roles in the Mike Brown/Darren Wilson case.

Another milestone as Nigerian Minister of Petroleum, Dieziani Alison-Madueke has been elected the first female president of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). She was elected today at the ongoing 166th General Meeting of the body in Vienna, Austria.

She replaces former president of OPEC, Libyan Vice Prime Minister for Corporations, Abdourhman Atahar-Ahirish. She was elected for one year and is expected to immediately resume office.

After launching of the campaign through Hillary Clinton, The Federal Executive Council yesterday approved the purchase of N9.2bn worth of cooking stoves and ‘wonder bags’ for rural women under the National Clean Cooking Scheme.

Twin brother Jeromme and Jarelle beat 150,000-1 odds to become dads on the same day at the same hospital by the same midwife after their partners gave birth on Monday November 24th. And they both had baby boys.

What a sad news in Film industry as Popular Yoruba movie marketer and chairman of Zentury Pictures, Femi Adelakun, died suddenly today November 26th in his home. Adelakun, who was also a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly complained that he wasn't feeling well when he suddenly fell. He was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead. May his soul rest in peace...amen.

Tragic! Mother shot dead by her 3 year old son at their home in Oklahoma

Not a good time nor good moment for this woman as 26 year old Crista Engles (pictured above) was accidentally shot dead by her 3 year old son at their home as she was attending to her 1 year old daughter.

According NBC News, the little boy shot and killed his mother after finding a loaded semi-automatic handgun in their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma yesterday November 25th.
