PDP Suspends Former Chairman Bamanga Tukur

 

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended Bamanga Tukur, former party chairman, for taking legal action to reclaim his seat.
A statement by the PDP faulted Tukur's use of legal action to try to reclaim his seat instead of using the party's internal mechanisms for redress.

Mr. Tukur asked the court to render his January resignation invalid, saying he was forced
He also asked the court to sack Adamu Mu'azu, current PDP chairman,

On tuesday, however, a Federal court dismissed his plea.

OPEC Presidency: Jonathan Behind My Appointment - Allison-Madueke

Mrs Diezani Allison-Madueke, the President, Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), speaking on her recent election as OPEC president on Wednesday, gave the credit to President Goodluck Jonathan for his courage to appoint her as Minister of Petroleum Resources.

``First of all it could not have happened if the president had not had the courage to appoint a woman as the Minister of Petroleum Resources, which meant that I now headed the country's delegation to OPEC.

``And I must say that that was quite a daunting thing; three and half years ago, I went into a body which is completely male-dominated and mostly Arab-dominated as well.

``But I have found that they have come to respect me and respect Nigeria's voice over the last three years in OPEC very highly," she said.

A 24 year old woman named Li Zhenghua, was discovered by a shocked nurse trying to eat her baby days after he was born at a local hospital in China. The nurse saw her eating the infant's arm and as she made to rescue the infant, the crazed mum refused to let the baby go. The nurse immediately raised an alarm and called other hospital staff who helped to rescue the baby.

According to local media reports, the attack happened at a hospital in the city of Shenzhen in China’s Guangdong Province. The woman had been found on the streets heavily pregnant and in labour..

Rapper Xzibit married his long time girlfriend Krista Joiner on Saturday Nov. 29th in LA and a few hours after that, he arrested for DUI.

According to TMZ, the Pimp My Ride presenter was arrested in Laguna Beach, immediately following his wedding reception after he, his bride and their wedding guests partied hard at the St. Regis Monarch Beach.

As he left his reception, he was pulled over for speeding when officers detected the smell of alcohol. He was cuffed and taken to the station. The police then released this nice mugshot of him..lol.

193 prisoners who escaped during Ekiti prison explosion recaptured

Aftermath the incident of jail break in Ekiti state, 193 prisoners out of the over 300 that escaped during the explosion that rocked the Federal Prison in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital on Sunday November 30th have been recaptured. Confirming their recapture, the state Prison's spokesman, Mr Ope Fatinikun said the chase for other escapees was still on. He urged people in neighboring states of Ondo, Kogi, Edo, Oyo and Kwara to be vigilant as some of the prisoners might want to take refuge in their community.

Angry PDP members from Rivers state today staged a weird protest against the leadership of the PDP over the choice of former Education Minister Nyesom Wike as the party's Governorship candidate for River state in the 2015 elections. The protesters who stormed the party secretariat around 6am with the coffin, barricaded the entrance of the secretariat, stopping everyone who worked at the building from gaining entrance. The group was later dispersed by mobile police with five protesters arrested. I hope they will address the issue as so as possible.

Two loving parents have paid for a full page ad to announce that their daughter who was born a girl is now a transgender gay.
 The ad was to retract the birth sex notice of their daughter now 19, born  in 1995. Yolanda Bogert and Guy Kershaw says it is to show their daughter now son that they support his decision. The ad put up in the December 2 edition of The Courier Mail reads;

‘In 1995 we announced the arrival of our sprogget, Elizabeth Anne, as a daughter,’ the loving message read. He informs us that we were mistaken. Oops! Our bad. We would now like to present, our wonderful son – Kai Bogert. Loving you is the easiest thing in the world.’

Osun tribunal admits Omisore’s ballot papers

The Election Petitions Tribunal hearing matters arising from August 9 governorship election in Osun State on Tuesday admitted the ballot papers used in the conduct of the election.

The tribunal, headed by Justice Elizabeth Ikpejime, admitted the documents brought in sacks as evidence tendered by the petitioner, Senator Iyiola Omisore of the Peoples Democratic Party. However, he reserved ruling on their admissibility until the judgment stage.

The tribunal had subpoenaed the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state to produce original ballot papers used in the 17 local government areas under dispute.

The materials were brought in 10 pick-up vans on Monday and the lead counsel for the petitioner, Dr. Alex Izinyon ( SAN), called the United States-based forensic data analysis expert, Mr. Pius Bakare, who tendered the documents.

Saudi Arabia Woman Arrested For Driving

A woman who tried to drive in defiance of a ban on women drivers in Saudi Arabia has been arrested after being blocked at the border with the United Arab Emirates for a day, activists said along with many users on social media. Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world which does not allow women to drive.

“I have been at the Saudi border for 24 hours. They don’t want to give me my passport nor will they let me pass,” Loujain Hathloul, the arrested woman said in a tweet. Continue below…

US Man Sentenced To 50 Years In Jail In Kenya Over Child Pornography

 

An American man accused of sexually abusing Kenyan children and circulating the images on the Internet who was arrested and charged with circulating obscene depictions of children on social media sites (child pornography) between May 2013 and October 2014 has been jailed. Terry Ray Krieger, 59, had earlier fled to Germany before he was arrested and brought back to face the law.

After pleading not guilty in court, Terry was forced to admit being guilty when all charges against him seems impossible to deny. He was sentenced to 50 years in jail today by a Kenyan court.
