Prophet T.B. Joshua |
Speaking to Ynaija reporter in a telephone interview, the prophet debunked rumours making rounds that a Liberian man who came to his church for deliverance died of Ebola.
In a statement released by the church, SCOAN denied having anything to do the drinking and bathing with salt water to prevent Ebola rumour which went viral last week.
The statement reads in part: “Our attention has been draw to a rumour spreading in some Africa country and online that Prophet T.B Joshua of the Synagogue Church of all nation in corroboration with the ministry of health, instructed the citizens of those nations battling with Ebola virus to take their bathe with warm water and salt for protection and healing from the deadly Ebola Virus. We are using this medium to inform the world and especially, those nations battling with this virus that Prophet T.B Joshua and SCOAN has nothing to do with such report, the message is false it’s not from Prophet T.B Joshua’s ministry.”
After the Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Federal Government paid a sensitization visit to T.B Joshua’s church over the Ebola, the prophet pledged his loyalty to join the government in combating the deadly disease.
There were reports that T.B. Joshua sent 4,000 bottles of his ‘anointing water’ and $50,000 to Sierra Leone to help the country in its fight against the deadly virus.
