There are indications that the defection of the former chairman of the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to
the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has been stalled due to uncertainties
surrounding the party's gubernatorial ticket.
The Sun reported that the PDP is concerned about Ribadu’s relationship
with former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the APC
leadership. According to an unnamed source, there are concerns that he
might return to APC after being supported to win the Adamawa poll.
Also, apart from winning the governorship election, there are fears that
Ribadu might not be able to deliver Adamawa to President Jonathan in
2015 even if he is elected governor.
For now, it's all speculation until Ribadu declares his stance.
