BREAKING: Yola Farmers Allegedly Find Missing Air Force Fighter Jet

According to the Daily Independent newspaper, there is reason to believe that the Nigerian Air Force Alpha Fighter Jet which was reported missing on Friday had been found on Sunday.

Sources close to the Yola Air Force Base confirmed that the plane crashed in Lala, Gombi LGA.

The newspaper further mentioned that the Alpha Jet (NAF 66), a key weapon in the war against the Boko Haram insurgents went off the grid since Friday, but has now been discovered with the help of Lala villagers.

So far, efforts to contact the PRO of the Airforce have been abortive and his Personal Assistant, Wing Commander Sunday said he wasn't competent to speak with the press on the matter.

However, a story by BusinessDay reports that the Defense Headquarters has confirmed that the NAF 466 is still missing.
