Former captain of the Super Eagles, Joseph Yobo,
was part of a group, the PDP Ward 2 Ward Initiative, who paid a visit to
President Jonathan yesterday in Abuja. Shortly after the meeting Yobo
spoke to State House correspondents saying, President Goodluck Jonathan
should be re-elected back in 2015 so he can complete the good works he
has been doing. His words;
“I am here to endorse Mr. President for his
re-election. He has done so well for the youth. I stand here as a youth
to say that he deserves a second term to push forward the good work he
has started.
“I do believe in the legacy of the transformation
agenda, and that is why this ward-to-ward initiative is building on
that legacy. The President has done so well. The youth now have their
own power, they have their own belief and they should take their rights
in their own hands.
“The youth should come forward and believe in
Mr. President. Everybody should come out to vote for him, if he is your
choice, but as an individual and as a face of the youth, I recognise
what he has done. The future is for the youth. We need to stand up and
look into the future, not just now.”
