Not a good time at all for Japanese government as ISIS militants released a video showing the decapitated
body of one of the Japanese security contractors they kidnapped. ISIS
demanded $200m for Haruna Yukawa and Kenji Goto earlier
this week and when Japanese government called their bluff, they killed
one of the men, and said the other will also be beheaded if Japan
doesn't meet their demands.
In the recording, a voice claiming to be that of Kenji Goto, claimed his fellow captive, Haruna Yukawa, has been killed and blamed his the death on Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He said he will be killed next if ISIS demand is not met. ISIS said they're no longer interested in the money, now they want the release of a failed female suicide. But Japan PM was not convinced. He condemned the video, saying his government 'will not give in to terrorism'.
ISIS are demanding the release of Sajida Mubarak Atrous al-Rishawi, an attempted suicide bomber who is currently being held by Japan |
