In the latest ranking and for the 10th successive year, Real Madrid has been named ass the richest clubside in the world.
Manchester United trail the Spanish giants in second position having
moved up the log, with Bayern Munich and Barcelona filling in at third
and fourth positions respectively.
According to a report released by accountancy firm Deloitte, Real was
able to generate €549.5 million in the 2013-2014 financial year.
Real Madrid's Champions League triumph in Lisbon last year helped them
raise broadcast revenue to €204.2m and commercial to €231.5m.
United on their part brought in €518 million, while Bayern got €487.5 million and Barcelona €484.6 million.
Five clubs in the English Premier League made the top 10, eight in total if extended to the top 20 richest clubs in the world.
