Does Nigeria
as a country need a fit leader knowing fully well that he possess great
intellectual capacity? My answer is as
good as yours.
There is an
adage that says “When there is no event there won’t be history”. Nigeria is a
country of 170 million population of brilliant, doggedness and strong willed
people.
Nigerians
believe in hard work, education, freedom, socialization and religion as
ascribed to different individuals according to their faith.
All over the
world many countries salute the energetic and humanly principles of Nigerians.
Though there are some bad eggs who day by day paint Nigeria in a bad light in
the committee of nations. Yet the country still maintains stardom as great
brother to many nations.
Let me come
back to my assertion of the type of leader that Nigeria need at this critical
stage. I call it an intellectually sound fit minded, physically and certified
leader.
The reason
is very simple because the leader will follow up on every decision taken by
him. Ability to double task is one of the great effectiveness of a leader.
Going for
summit, G20, AU, EU, COMMONWEALTH and other function where decisions about
countries in the world is being taken is not where a leader should not be.
When it
begins to sound like a selected group is been adjudged to be playing hide and
seek game on the future of a nation. There is no doubt that some greedy
individuals are hell bent to rule the nation by proxy.
It gives
great concern and I deem it fit to wake the consciousness of every reasonable
Nigerian who knows the nitty-gritty of governance.
Which way
Nigeria? Thanks to the voice of great Icon Sonny Okosun of blessed memory. We
need to stand up for what is right and take the future of our country with sincerity.
A good
leader must be sincere and honest while other great attributes will follow. The
greatest of all decisions lies in the hands of Nigerians in order to choose the
path they want Nigeria to go.
