INEC Suspends Two Officials Over Osun Elections
From The Guardian newspaper: Two electoral officers of the
Independent National Electoral Commission have been suspended for
allegedly conniving with politicians to 'perpetuate illegality' in the
August 9 elections -
"THE Independent National Electoral Commission {INEC} has suspended two
of its staffers over alleged connivance with some politicians to
perpetrate illegality during the recently concluded Osun governorship
election held on August 9.
The Guardian leant that the affected staffers were asked to proceed on
suspension following an investigation conducted by the INEC
headquarters which found the two officials guilty of involvement in
fraud during the poll.
Ambassador Mohammed Wali, the National Commissioner of INEC, who
conducted the Osun governorship election confirmed the suspension of the
two INEC officials last night."
