Ogun: Man Lands In Court Over Facebook Post About Gov. Amosun..... Hmmmm
DailyTrust reports that Wasiu Ogunnoiki, a 31-year old man has
been brought before a Magistrate's Court in Sagamu for allegedly posting
negative remarks about the state governor, Ibikunle Amosu.
Daily Trust says: "Ogunnoiki, who was arraigned on a two count charge,
according to the charge sheet, contravened Section 249 (d) of the
Criminal Code, volume II Laws of Ogun State, 2006.
He was alleged to have written on his Facebook page that Governor Amosun
demolished houses in the state without compensating affected property
owners.
The accused was also said to have written on his page that the All
Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Sagamu Local Government, Femi
Felix Kafar, has dumped his party for the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP).
Ogunnoiki, a commercial motorcyclist in Sagamu, was further accused of
inciting people of the state against the Amosun led administration."
Ogunnukoi pleaded 'not guilty' to this and the Chief Migistrate Ojo granted him a N400,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.
The case has been adjourned 'til the 5th of December.
