How can food
get to the table of average Nigerians that are living below 1$? Nigeria is a
country of hope, hard working citizens, doggedness, vibrant and intelligent
individuals yet nothing to show for it.
I have come
to the terms that our deepest fear in Nigeria is not that we are in adequate
but it is simply because we have a government that is cruel and not sensitive
to the plight of the masses. Either federal, States or local it is unfortunate
and it is a shame on them because they don’t care about us.
In an ideal
environment, there is no reason or excuse for any Nigerians to go to bed
hungry. What is wrong? It is absolute truth that some Nigerians believe in
crumbs from the political class than full capacity that can affect the general
populace positively.
What is the
duty of government? The basic among all is to provide conducive environment,
infrastructure, security and certain empowerment that will make citizens feel
grateful to the country.
Are Nigerians
happy? The answer is something we need to ponder on so that proper blue print
can be determined.
The way
forward. Government in its entire ramification is about continuity and selfless
service with absolute willingness to work. There is no way politics can be
separated from people.
When you are
a politician, the basic principle is for you to serve the people diligently and
honestly and never allow the people to go hungry/sad.
Failure to
do this, always send a wrong signal…. Nigeria must wake up with consciousness
of whom to entrust their lives upon.
