Arguably he is when it comes to football as Liverpool defender Kolo Toure believes that his teammate Mario Balotelli can be ranked amongst the best players in the world.
Balotelli has been facing scathing criticisms since his summer transfer
from AC Milan, having scored just one goal prior to Tuesday's Capital
One Cup match against Swansea.
The 24-year old Italian striker came off the bench to net Liverpool's
equaliser before a headed goal from Dejan Lovren sealed the victory.
"For strikers, goals are like food," said Toure. "Mario needs to feed
himself by scoring goals. Now he's got that one he will do that now,
definitely.
"Mario is my mate and I've tried to help him like (Liverpool captain)
Stevie (Gerrard), the manager (Brendan Rodgers) and everyone else in the
dressing room.
"We all know he's a top player. I always tell him 'you need to get out
there and show you are one of the best players in the world."
