the governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State
Although the governorship election in Lagos State will hold on February
28, 2015, the Peoples Democratic Party is not waiting till next year as
all its governorship aspirants have embarked on both subtle and direct
campaigns across the state.
Even though only one candidate will emerge at the highly anticipated
governorship primary election, which is set to hold in October, the
aspirants have all maintained that they would win. They have been
employing various tactics to garner support such as increasing their
presence on social networks, distributing fliers and displaying posters.
Obviously, much of these moves have been inspired by the overwhelming
victory of Ayo Fayose over Governor Kayode Fayemi of the All
Progressives Congress. The PDP politicians hope to replicate the Ekiti
feat in Lagos State to break the 16-year jinx, considering that by 2015,
the APC would have ruled Lagos for 16 years.
