281 Fake Corpers Nabbed in Niger As Kaduna Corper Staunchly Refuses to Stand for National Anthem
Daily Trust newspaper reports that a Corps member refused to
stand for the national anthem in Kaduna, causing governor Mukhtar
Ramalan Yero to be 'displeased' and 'disappointed.'
.
The incident occurred at the end of the closing ceremony of the 2014
Batch B’ orientation course at the NYSC camp. Our correspondent reports
that the governor left the podium where he was addressing the youths to
fish out the member, but was unable to find him as he had
“disappeared”.
The governor then directed the state NYSC director, Hillary Nasamu, to
present the corps member for ques-tioning, but he was also unable to
find the culprit.
In other news:
281 fake corps members have been identified in Niger by the NYSC camp
coordinator, Mr. Steven Ehoda-adi. He said some of them gave the excuse
of being attacked by armed robbers on their way thereby losing their
call up letters, others claimed to have misplaced them while some only
presented photocopies of the letters which he said is not acceptable.
