I found this on Facebook and i believe is good to share it with you.
Europe can not be witnessing this kind of terror attacks and
economic downturn and not expect organisations like PEGIDA and others
not to see rise in membership and followership... These two issues are
two of the biggest propellers of Islamophobia and racism respectively in
our modern day world today....
When the economy is bad, people lose their jobs and life becomes more difficult,
at this point they look for someone to blame and it is easier for them
to direct their angers at foreigners who they believe are competing with
them for jobs. Increasing act of terrorism is also directly
proportional to the increasing Islamophobia in Europe today. It is
fundamental that 113 of the 114 Chapters in the Holy Quran introduce the
Almighty Allah as a God of mercy and compassion (In the name of the
merciful and compassionate God) also it is a
common knowledge that Islam
is a religion of peace, but when a group of people continue to
propagate a reign of terror on the name of Islam, that definitely will
increase the weariness of the people against the religion. The overall
effect of this all is the increased activities of far-right
organisations like PEGIDA who capitalise on the emotion and discontent
of the people...
We all have big roles to play in solving these challenges.
• We need the various governments in Europe to work more on fixing the
economy, because economic failure promotes discrimination, racism and
intolerance..
• We need our muslim brothers, prominent Islamic
clerics and scholars, prominent Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia,
Qatar etc and their leaders to start speaking out and condemn the act of
terrorism carried out on the name of Islam.
• As foreigners in
foreign lands, we need to conduct ourselves in the most orderly and
peaceful manners, contribute positively and help to build values in our
host countries and make an input in the host countries' development in
whatever capacity we can.
• Religion remains a very sensitive
issue, freedom of speech should not be used to disparage and ridicule
other people's religion. When such is done, it exposes all to some kind
of dangers that could have been avoided. So why should we expose
ourselves unnecessarily?
May God grant the families of the
deceased, the French people and government the fortitude to bear these
irreparable losses, and i wish the injured survivors of this barbaric
attack a quick recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with you all..
